How do I play 2 or 3 player with controllers?

I have 2 Xbox 360 controllers. I've gotten one to work with ArcadeOX. I have Xpadder and I always prefer to use that but apparently it screws things up when I try to play ArcadeOX games. So I just start the program, press Tab, go into input, and select the buttons on my controller.

This works for controller 1.

When I press input for controller 2, and press buttons on my second controller, nothing happens. Xpadder would be helpful here, as I could set a keyboard button to be a button on my controller. Unfortunately this doesn't work. Xpadder proves my second controller is working fine, however, as when I open notepad, my 2nd controller types key commands.

So how do I do this? Is there a way I can get ArcadeOX to disable it's controller function, so it would be forced to take the keyboard commands from my controller?

My next big issue is going to be to try to get the Wii remote to work, but, I'll handle that later.
