Sound issues with my laptop.

Ok so for the last few days my laptop has had no sound and whenever I close it the screen goes black but it won’t go into sleep mode and starts producing a lot of heat. I checked the device manager and it said that one of my high definition audio controllers has a code 10.

I really miss YouTube and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this problem.
I have a Toshiba if that makes a difference.

It does make a difference because I had the exactly same problem with my toshiba. I had it shipped away and everything. Mine was an A200 I think, vista era anyway. What a piece of junk. It was something internal, it oddly had to do with the power supply inside the machine.
