Side-Scrolling Arcade Game

Hi all,
I am new to these forums and have been reading the different games that others had trouble remembering. Now I have had one that I was trying to remember but cant think of the name.

The game is an arcade side-scroller similar to Golden Axe, but somewhat worse graphics. All I remember of the game is that it was 1 or 2 player and you rode a tiger. Your attack was a chain whip type weapon, you would chain the enemies and circle around their head until it came off. Also I think you would get powerups that would have you walking on foot and grow bigger. I do also recall that your character would shrink at times when weaker.

I know a tiny bit about a ton of games, I've been playing emulators for a good ten years and have gone through entire library's of most cartridge based systems and tons of coin-ops. That being said 90 percent of the games I have played for 5 minutes or less, and it's a crap shoot wiether or not I will remember anything specific, in this case I just happen to remember riding the tiger. Not to mention my stack of gaming mags dating back to the late 80's is taller than me, witch I still read on the can daily.

Can I crash the party with my own question?

Trying to figure out a game title for an arcade game circa 1984-1988 maybe? Can't tell you the manufacturer but suspect it might by SNK (

) it's a scrolling action game where the player is fighting and occasionally a Samurai appears in armor with a flag on his back... during the fighting you can sometime catch the samurai's blade in your hands and break it... the samurai shakes his head and then fights you hand to hand... not remembering this title is driving me absolutely nuts!!!! The graphics were really cool for the time... sorry!! I know this is kinda vague maybe?!

Found out!!! It's called Sengoku ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLLKQLYHQWw It says it was released in 1991, but somehow I thought earlier than that?!
