World record corrections in retro uprising

My name is Eric Schafer and I play over at Twin Galaxies on a number of systems and titles.

I found out about this site and I have to say that it is very cool and awesome!

I was surprised to find that the guys here at Retro Uprising actually check out other sites to see who has the official world records for each particular game and actually list them here along with the current Retro Uprisings top score.

I was then honored to find that my name was listed here at Retro Uprising for some of the world record scores that I have achieved over at Twin Galaxies. However I found that were several games where I had the world record for, but another person's name was mentioned or no one was mentioned at all, here they are for coin op.

1. Action Hollywood

I just submitted a new world record today on this game. The new top score is 6,484,700 keep a look at Twin Galaxies since it is in the process of being verified.

2. Buccaneers

World record is listed as 197,410 by Matt Hall, but actual WR I have is 227,230.

3. Cerberus

No world record listed, but actual WR I have is 156,400.

4. Cosmic Chasm

No world record listed, but actual WR I have is 264,400.

5. Galaxy Gunners

World record listed as 117,260 by Nicky634, but actual WR I have is 167,730.

6. Hard Head 2

World record listed as 347,200 by Sebastien, but actual WR I have is 753,900.

7. Hyper Crash

World record listed as 489,100 by Tekkaman, but actual WR I have is 621,920.

I know its almost impossible to keep track of all the WR scores on all of these systems. I just thought that I would mention these since I know these games very well.

Well if you want to be absolutly certain, you can set the scores here for yourself, no need to record a video or upload anything. Welcome to the site foo.

Hi Eric welcome to the site and thanks for your feedback. As you're more than aware it's a very difficult job keeping track of all the records both at twin Galaxies and MARP. This particular part of the site is very much still in it's infancy, but we're working on it. Any input such as yours is very helpful - thanks.

Just had a look at your list at Twin Galaxies - very nice! If you ever want a friendly challenge on Spiders let me know!

I forgot the obvious question - How did you find out about us?

Hi Eric! I also have some TG scores appearing as World Records here. It's a relatively new feature for RU and will no doubt be tweaked here and there as time goes on. The set-up at this site is really good, I bet you'll enjoy playing some of the ol' games all over again.

Thanks guys for all the replies. This is a great website and a great idea for playing all the old classic games. I got word from the TG site about coming here. I hope that I didn't sound that bad in my first post. I kind of felt bad coming here and saying "here are the corrections", but I figured that if I'm going to be acknowledged, well I guess I should let you know which games I should be acknowledged for....lol and Barra, I think they have you listed for the world record on Comic Gang the Video but I believe that there are several scores over at the marp which are higher than yours. Those scores are crazy high.

Welcome to RU and thanks for the input about the WR scores. Just to make things clear, the WR scores we have here are simply put as a type of measuring bar. Since we don't allow for altering of game difficulties via DIP SWITCH, there are many games here that play on higher (or lower) difficulty settings than those set at TG and MARP. The high scores here are not officially recognized either and we simply play for bragging rights and cool badges, as well as friendly yet intense competition.

I've got the highscore here for CGTV but its not listed as the "WR". Im waiting for you to beat it

The MARP WR score for CGTV is a monumental challenge.

Maybe one day.......... if I can ever figure out those darn bonus stages.

I swear, sometimes I get the million jackpot and sometimes I don't. I don't get it.

Yeah pretty much has a perfect score, even without losing a life and getting all perfect bonus stages it'd be lucky to beat it.
I've got a pattern for the 1st bonus stage and get 1million everytime, have not had a chance to try and pattern the others yet though.
