tl;dr go to the game menu and select a sort option.
Several years ago we had a forum thread that automatically posted all new scores. Most people found it annoying. If there is interest I can bring it back in a social group so you only see if if you opt-in.
On the game menu page there are some new sort options.
Ascending means you are going to start with the lowest letter or lowest number or oldest date. Descending means you will start with the highest.
Previously the sort options would show all games even when it didn't make sense to do so such as when you sorted by Rating you would get games that have never been rated. That is fixed now.
Previously if you selected a system or searched for a title and then clicked sort you would be shown all games and then you would have to go back and select a system or make a new search to use the sort. Now it remembers the previous page you were on when you make a start a sort.
Description of all sorts. New sort options are in bold. Improved are in italics.
Times Played = Number of times the game has been played.
Recently Played = Sort games by last time the game was played. Stats only started properly tracking yesterday so it will take a while for it to fully update and include every game.
Recent Scores = Sort by most recently submitted scores, scores waiting to be approved by a moderator do not count. Select Descending to find games that haven't seen any love in a long time.
Recently Cleared = I'm going to start changing the word "mastered" to the word "cleared" throughout the site. This is a list of games that have been beaten on RU.
Description = This is mainly just for mods to see which games still need descriptions added.
Rating = Sort by number of stars.
Votes = Sort by number of times a game was rated.
Game Club Date = Sort by month that a game was added to the Game Club.
Game Club Points = Sort by points awarded for beating the game.
Play Modes = Sorts by the different modes that you can play a game in such as AOX Score and Java. This could use some improvement, is confusing as is.
Champ ID = Sorts by the user ID of the high score champ. Descending will show newest users with high scores first. Ascending will show oldest users with high scores first. Without looking can you guess who is on the first 10 pages? After looking how many do you remember?
High Score = Sort by games with highest high score.
Total Score = Sort by total number of points submitted in a game.
Time played = Sort by time spent on a game by all players. This isn't a very accurately tracked stat.
Score Enabled = Lists only games that accept scores. Descending is reverse scores like golf. Ascending starts with normal scores.
SRAM Enabled = Lists games that have SRAM (Battery Saves, Cart Saves) enabled in Score Mode. Ascending and Descending do the same thing.
Release Date = Sorts by date that the game was published. We don't have dates for all games yet.
Date Added = Sort by date the game was added to RU.
