Current world record on the emulator, Dean Saglio, is streaming world record attempts for Donkey Kong if anyone is interested. He's playing at a pace that, if he gets through the game, will see him get to ~1.2m, well above the arcade world record (He currently has a higher score than the arcade world record with 1,153,000)

I subscribe to Dean's channel under the name of retrojojo. The guy is a wizard at that game.

He rage quit around 400k after losing a life due to a brain fart. He usually plays at least once everyday though.
