TMNT: Turtles in Time - Feb '12
The introductory [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cut_scene"]cut scene[/ame] of the game details the game's plot. It begins with the Turtles watching a TV newscast on a Sunday evening, with April O'Neil reporting from [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberty_Island"]Liberty Island[/ame]. Suddenly, [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krang"]Krang[/ame] flies in using a giant exosuit (seen occasionally in the animated series) and steals the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statue_of_Liberty"]Statue of Liberty[/ame], moments before Shredder hijacks the airwaves to laugh at the Turtles.
The Turtles jump into action in downtown New York and pursue the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foot_Clan"]Foot[/ame] to the streets and the city sewers, then to the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technodrome"]Technodrome[/ame] where Shredder sends them through a [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_travel"]time warp[/ame]. The Turtles must fight Shredder's army in both the past and the future in order to get home.

You need to hit him from behind. When he's moving down or up, walk straight to get behind him then turn and attack. Move out of his line of attack and repeat.

If you hit B and Y at the same time, you do an attack that breaks thru guards, but this drains your energy.
Also, how many points do you need for an extra life?

How do you perform that attack where you take the enemy and slam him on the ground repeatedly? It seems to activate randomly for me.

Re: TMNT: Turtles in Time - Feb '12
Hard mode just has more defense foot soldiers, who if you use your charging attack makes them easy.
@Brawl: Depends on how close you are to them and when you attack, best move is throwing them out of the screen - 3 pts.

To slam them, hit a foot soldier once to stun him. Then have your turtle touch the FS, stop pressing the D-pad and hit attack. This should prompt the slam. To throw, you need to stun get close and keep pressing the D-pad towards the FS and hit attack. To do a running slide kick, you run hit jump and then attack. Shoulder charge is done by running and hitting attack. The shoulder charge breaks the defender FS's defense like tails mentioned. I just go in circles and hit them all three times to do the hard hit at the end of the combo.

Re: TMNT: Turtles in Time - Feb '12
Nah, I just suck at beat em up games. Freaking guard foots at Shredder, man 0.o;.
Rat King is pretty bad for me too because I can absolutely never tell on what lines the hitbox on those missiles is on, so I just get hurt a lot. Raph just takes damage like a freaking sponge as well (or maybe its just me).
Here's a vid of me and my friend playing for fun one night on the SNES. I'm player 2, Raph. I drop out pretty early. This doesn't even include the part where we get destroyed by Slash.

Why would anyone play Raph when his weapons are so lame?

Raph in most TMNT games usually has the best and quickest special.

His shade of red is the coolest.
Plus on hard mode, your weapon doesn't matter as much as manipulating your enemies' movements so that you're never surrounded. True story for all beat em ups.

Re: TMNT: Turtles in Time - Feb '12
I'd Say Raph's Sais are the coolest of weapons anyway...
Bludgeoned by a long stick? Lame
Bludgeoned by 2 short sticks conntected by a chain? Lame
Cut by a sword? Typical
Stabbed to death by a fork from hell? Original
By the way, quirky note: Raphael is the only turtle to say any "close to" curse in the original movie (Damn)

I need a decent controller for this, or some patience for Slash.

Re: TMNT: Turtles in Time - Feb '12
I'm talking strictly about older TMNT games where Raph has the lamest weapon. I'm not talking about the real life weapon
Sai (weapon) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
For example in the NES TMNT game I would use Raph as an extra life, if I lost him no biggie.

Why would you be talking about older games when the game that's being played it this one?

Re: TMNT: Turtles in Time - Feb '12
Well I include this one. I haven't played it in a while but I remember Raph being at a disadvantage too. Either way I was just confused why people would choose the shortest reach when they have three other options.

Actually I prefer Leo for his Katanas. I do like the character of Donatello more though. I'm torn.
