Retro Uprising commercial idea!

You know I've been thinking about wether we should make a commercial about RU. I dunno how to make a video, cause I don't have any video devices, but making a commercial could greatly increase the number of members on the site. So, anyone got ideas for what the commercial should be like?

No. A tv commercial might cause problems but at most we could afford a commercial on youtube.

Yeah a Youtube commercial sounds great, but is it gonna be an advertisement video or a regular video? And how are people gonna find it and get enough views? And how do you upload a video? Can you upload a video with a flip camera? And why am I asking all these questions?

I'd spread it around, too. What we should do, is just make a video and link it all around the internet.
Do we have our own youtube channel? That's a good place to start. From there, various users could make videos and send the files to whoever happens to run the channel and they could upload to youtube. Basically, I could make one, DB could make one, Kong could make one and so on.

Id certainly spread everywhere possible...Post to my face book once a day like an actual time slot.I was thinking we could use some of the more iconic theme soundtracks i.e Mario..Sonic ...just to name two. Have a screen roll at the bottom of the page like they list the counties for storm watchs..and flash 15-20 secs of game plays from some of the some of the systems...I dont know just trying to brainstorm

Yeah a Youtube commercial is a great idea. All it needs to do is advertise what you can do here.

Here is an idea for what the commercial should be like: Voice from beyond: Tired of playing new games that are really expensive and get boring after a while because they are too easy? Tired of barely increasing your gaming collection? Wanna go back to the past where games were challenging and fun? Well, emulators do that but are very hard to put it into a file and actually play it, making emulators almost impossible to use...UNTIL NOW!!! Introducing Retro Uprising, the place where you can play thousands of 80's and 90's games for free! And you can also become a member, discuss with other members in forums, and gain access to hidden forums by leveling up, and its all free! So, what do you think? Was that good?

I personally think we should just have game play clips of Arcade games with occasional text on a black screen. A narration about features can be pretty annoying, unless done calmly.

Geez, no need to beat yourself up about it. I'm just giving an opinion. I think we want the commercial to be less about monolog/speaking and more just about a showcase of what we have here at RU.
