Monitor Problems

Whenever i press two keys on my laptop the screen has these rolling lines that make it almost impossible to see anything, and i have to move the laptop around or the monitor for them to go away. Is there something wrong with my video card or does my laptop need to be fixed?

Re: Monitor Problems

I would suggest rebooting you PC into safe mode and running a full virus scan with your AV program as well as Malwarebytes and or Superantispyware.

Re: Monitor Problems

First of all welcome to RU Orphan.

To me it sounds like something is loose or broken. If you have to move it around to get the picture to display right then I doubt it's a software problem. It might be something simple like solder coming undone(or w/e they use on PCs).

Re: Monitor Problems

I ran a bunch of anti virus and malware programs and registry repair pro and no luck. Would it be cheaper to send it in to get it fixed or to buy a new one?

Re: Monitor Problems

Boot from a [ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_CD]Live CD - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] and see if you have the same problem. If you do have the same problem then it is a hardware problem. If you do not have the problem then it is software.

If it is caused by physical movement then it is most likely a short. A bad wire somewhere.
