any one else looking forward to lost oddessey coming out tomarrow

im a huge rpg fan and this looks like it will set the bar for graphics this year the story line also seems interesting i cant wait to see how it plays out

and last the battles also seem a little to much but hopefully it will have decent gameplay

Does the main character look kinda funny to anyone else?

well first i would like to start by saying this is a rpg and most probably know but i read on the box that it was develepod by using unreal technology and for those who dont know that is a game engine unlike others the main and huge diffence is that with normal game engines the levels are created by adding land materials ect to a infinite amount of space nothings so imagin that you were in the middle of space with nothing around you then i just said let thier be land right here and then thier was land .....

now unreal is diffent it is created by subtracting space from a infinite amount of solid

so just take the previous example and instead put yourself underground instead of in space and you minus out the ground to make rooms...
so it gives the game a diffent look and feel

but on the pluse side this game has really cool lighting effects and graphics havent gotten into to many battles im about an hour in and we have only had the main opening battle the rest of the time is story setting up

and as right now the script sucks it seems really to forced but it is tolirable the voice acting is ok but the vocal voice since with the chars mouth is really distracting it is a whole lot like mass effect


the char design is very simaller to final fantasy 12 but the only thing i dont like is that in alot of the cg cutsceens the chars walk a lot like stupid zombies and life less

the music is a plus and the sound effects are ok so far

but the main thing i dont like is the game has a semi fixed camera angle so you cant look around in full 360 degrees it is fixed in one spont and you can slightly look up and down left right ect so that kind of suck because you cant really enjoy the beautiful sceenary

so right now the game gets a 5/10 its ok gameplay is good so far camera sucks voices ok script kinda forced but it all should get better because not much makes sence yet because its all setting up =0

so stay tuned for more .........

well as a update im now on disc two and the game has gotten much better for me anyways some reviews have been coming out complaing about the voice acting and i must say some chars do suck but all in all it is fine the game play has gotten better and the camera not so anoying it keeps most things in view except for what the dont want in view




and if anyone else has this game when you get to numara at the end of disc 1 and go into the inn and stay the night

on the desk in the forground is the bong you cant really see why it looks like in this video because of the quality but in game while you play the game you can hold down the r button to zoom in and you can see the pipe where the smoke comes out and the tube where you put the stuff in on the side of the base =)
