Mario Kart 3D - Amount of tracks, old and new?

So, I've been getting pretty excited for this game and playing some of the other Mario Kart games here and there for fun.

Got to thinking about the whole 'Past Cups' thing. I think it's an awesome idea, and I'm glad that they've been revamping all these courses as well as adding new ones, it's like twice the game. Recently, with Mario Kart wii though, there were too many past titles to give each of the past games 4 tracks each, so they split Snes & GBA so that they only got 2 tracks each.

It makes sense the way they plotted that out, but I'm curious as to how the 3DS Mario Kart is going to go about doing this. I've considered a few of the possibilities beginning with the most obvious. That being that they now split N64 & GC tracks to 2 each. I'm not so fond of this, MK64 & MKDD are my two favourite games and I'd like to see them each get 4 tracks again, also because of the fact that I've pretty much hated the selection of the GC & N64 past tracks on the DS & the wii. It seems like they took all my least favourite levels for the most part, but whatever. I still liked all the ones they included. My point here being that 4 would mean a more likely chance of the inclusion of the tracks I want.

The other possibility I considered is that they scrap Snes & GBA altogether, which I'm not very fond of either. It's not as much of a loss to me really, again I was hoping they could have picked some of the better levels, at least from the snes stack of levels.

Third possibility I considered is that I considered is that Snes & GBA get only 1 level each, while N64 and GC get 3 each. This one doesn't make much sense however.

All these outcomes are assuming that we get the usual 4 levels from the Ds & Wii.

What I'd really like to see, though I doubt it would happen is them adding more Cups to the grand prix mix. I highly doubt this would happen considering they already went from the usual 4 cups to 8, which is a huge jump. Who knows though, maybe we can get 12 cups now? (6 past, 6 new). I'd like to see that.

This is a fairly, don't want to say pointless thread, but I'd like to hear opinions on what you think they'd do as well as what you wish they would do in relation to track management in Mario Kart 3d

My faves are the 64 tracks, and the Advance tracks. I didnt like Double Dash, Wii had some great ones, and the SNES was a little too basic for the most part.

I've liked every rainbow road except the Wii one. The GC one was especially awesome imo.

Rainbow Road was fun to play on MKDD. smacking someone off the road was always my favorite method of getting 1st
