This is a neat little program that will scan your computer for fragmented files and remove them. Fragmented files occur with computer's age, and are pretty much the result of scattered files from deleted programs.

Ideally, you only want your computer to be up to about 10% fragmented, so if you find that your computer is 60%, you may be experiencing massive slow downs. Defraggler is a great program that I really have to recommend to anyone who doesn't have it. I would try downloading it at Ninite, where you can also pick up some other great programs.

Um, don't PCs already have a built in defragmentation program? I know they used to. Mine does.

My Windows XP has one built in.
Start > All programs > Accessories > System tools > Disk defragmenter

DN go to your start menu and type defrag into the search box, see what comes up.

Sure enough, I have Disk Defragmenter, but after opening it up and taking a look, I didn't like it quite as much as there are less visuals to give a better idea of how much of what files your computer is storing.

Well if it's a more in depth program then go for it. To me it just seems like cosmetic differences, I'll stick with my built in dealy.

Well I was actually saying that because I wanted to counter your post but if it doesn't do much besides some cosmetic extras then it is kinda dumb. I'm not saying it's bad or that you're stupid for liking it though. I just find it dumb and don't care enough to try it. Ya know?
