Checking on the Long Lost Golf Season

I know the site is still having the kinks worked out, but it seems that pretty much everything is running smoothly. After watching Tiger's total domination on Friday at the PGA Championship I wondered when I would get the chance to start dominating the next golf tournament here. Just kidding, but seriously, I would like to see the golf tournaments brought back with maybe a chance for more people to enter. If you are new to the site and don't know what I'm talking about, refer to this:

With the addition of Genesis games we would (hopefully) have a chance to include a more diverse range of golf games since it seems as if most of the NES golf games are strikingly similar. Thoughts anybody?

Don't think I've let this season die. With all the changes to the site and the problems that have been going on, I was waiting for things to smooth out. You may be right dickysimpkins, it may be time to fire up the 'ol tourney again. If you want to sign up to play go ahead and do it here. But realize that it takes a pretty big commitment to play (a tourney lasts four weeks and were planning on playing 6 for the season). If you are already signed up, don't worry, I still have everything so you do not need to sign up again. I'll try and start up another tourney next week. Keep your eyes open.

Count me in once it starts; it sounds interesting. How exactly do you participate in a tourney? I know you have to play a golf game here and record your score, but after that, I'm not so sure how it works.

I record the scores on a spreadsheet, post a leader board. I looked back at the old tournaments and leader boards, and the images are gone, but I think you get the idea. If you have any questions let me know. I'll pencil you in Davidizer13. mj23, are you in also?

There's a handicap system in place to level the playing field. It actually helps the less skilled players.

Just making sure this wasn't forgotten...

I noticed that there have been some Sega golf games added which could make the tournaments better. That is if there is a way we could record scores for those games.

That's the over riding problem right now. We need a way to submit the scores, once that is resolved, we'll probably get back to it. Thanks for the continued interest.
