"My mind is my weapon. My brother has his sword, King Robert has his warhammer and I have my mind... and a mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone if it is to keep its edge. That’s why I read so much, Jon Snow."
I saw this in tensers signature, but never really looked at it. I think its a cool little gadget. For tracking your own, or a friends progress in a game
Since it's Monday I thought I'd let everyone know.
Monday nights at 7pm EST one or two of the site owners live stream a play through. A lot of the community gets together in the chat room during these sessions just to mingle or attempt to beat games of their own. If anyone is interested you can watch/listen/chat here: The Backloggery
Last week they completed Ganbare Goemon 3 and did some attempts at both Punch Out and Battletoads. Tonight it looks like Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X.
@DB: Right. They make attempts and screw up a lot just like any other player. They don't usually pick games so they can try to show off some skills. The community was doing a death count in chat during battletoads but stopped around 57. :P
You play a game.
You go to the site.
You add game manually, filling in the title, whether you have completed it or not, the point you are at, and whether or not you are currently playing it.
That's it.
It's all manual. You can also see stats like how many games you've marked as completed, unfinished, mastered, beaten and whatnot.
"My mind is my weapon. My brother has his sword, King Robert has his warhammer and I have my mind... and a mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone if it is to keep its edge. That’s why I read so much, Jon Snow."
So this is like a personal list that can be fudged if the user is so inclined?
That's it. There's no competition though, it's more of a reference tool and a way to see what your friends are playing and vice versa. You're only hurting yourself by "fudging" the numbers.
