Or it looked like another protester trying to get on the stage to make a statement, they do that from time to time. The crowd had no way of knowing his intention but they still turned into a feral mob just like other Trump rallies where people are being sucker punched, stomped on the ground, screamed at and pushed around for protesting. No honest person can say Trump rallies are peaceful and non violent at this point, especially with Trump standing up there encouraging it.
Btw I just checked and that guy is only being charged with entering a restricted area. No weapons, no secret plans to hurt Trump, ect ect. Seems like he just wanted attention. Good thing the secret service got a hold of him before the mob tore him to pieces.

Being disruptive is not the same as being "way way way" more violent than people who actually break the law and assault people. Gathering in large groups to disrupt things they think are bad is pretty standard practice for protesters.
I voted to not vote in the poll because both candidates are ridiculously awful choices. Trump is the worst of course but I wouldn't feel right voting Bill Clinton back into office.

Am I naive in thinking that Trump's presidency won't be as destructive to the US as people are assuming? I didn't vote him and I definitely don't want him to be president but I'm not buying all the hysteria that the US is doomed now. IDK though, maybe I'm just uninformed/dumb. Politics was never my strength.

I get what you're saying, and it's possibly true. It's not great. I think there is no conceivable way it's good. The doom and gloom? The problem is the man is a LOOSE CANNON who has said and promised some very scary things. There is literally no telling what he could do. Neighboring that is fucking scary.
