sonic the hedgehog saved??

i just bought sonic the hedgehog on my new xbox 360.the reveiews are horrible but i love it. I also have sonic heroes but i hate it.do you think that sonic the hedgehog(xbox 360) dug itself out of the hole that sonic heroes made??i think so

Sonic Heroes wasn't a great concept. It had terrible graphics and 3-D models, the music wasn't very exciting, and the storyline was completely pathetic. Another letdown was the way Sonic Team decided to bring back Metal Sonic by turning him into some Dragon crap that didn't even make sense.

SONIC the Hedgehog for 360 was average. The graphics were wonderful, music fit the scenes well, but the game engine itself was terrible. First of all, many times you found yourself stuck to a rock, suddenly falling into a random pit, and the time it took for loading screens to finish up was ridiculous. And most of the time these scenes after the endless loading screens were only a few seconds long.

Overall, SONIC the Hedgehog was a good, not amazingly incredible, game. It certainly didn't save the Sonic series though.

More recently, Sonic Team seemed to be on the right track with Sonic and the Secret Rings, but it still had some pretty bad flaws that could not be ignored. Personally, I believe Sonic's beginning to get on his normal path that used to please the crowds. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games seemed to be a great example of a game for both the Mario and Sonic franchise.

No. The re-release of Sonic Adventure 2 did.

Oh wait, they haven't done that.

It's the only good move Sonic Team could do at this point.

In my opinion, Sonic Heroes' lack of a story line was the best thing Sonic Team has done since the last Sega Genesis Sonic game.
I really hate all the new Sonic games (Yes, even Sonic Adventure 1 & 2), with the exception of the GBA and DS ones.

well there will always be haters, ones who favors the story line, or ones that like the classic.

depends on oppinion, though i think they should do the Rush series more and rerelease sonic 2.

They have rereleased sonic 2 and some other classic sonic games on the wii's virtual console, and it was also part of Sonic Mega Collection plus for the ps2 (I'm not sure if it was on the other systems, though)

well i ment how they rereleased sonic 1 for the GBA, i'd love to see Sonic 2 doing that. Called Sega Sonic The Hedgehog I believe.

Sega Mega Collection was also on the Gamecube.

i still think that the 2-d side scrollers were the best its just i thought sonic the hedgehog(xbox 360,ps3)did better than ratings said

Sonic Heroes storyline was rubbish becuase they did it in a way to set up Shadow the Hedgehog, which genuinely sucked. Seriously, they need to rethink the main franchise.

they also have sonic 1 and 2(genesis) in the xbox live arcade-both of them are on my xbox 360 ;D
