I think that would qualify him as being one who can say which characters are tough, don't you?

Not at all, I think AVGN is overrated and annoying so I don't value his opinion at all.

Ok, maybe AVGN is overrated.
We still have to determine WHO is worthy of being called tough, and why.
I was trying to establish some basis for comparison.
Bruce Lee was undoubtedly tough, with his practicing every spare minute he could.
You know I was joking when I dismissed your picture.
So, what shall be the standard of TOUGH you guys?
The Terminator?
Ford trucks?

Pucca?

Re: Retro Uprising's BEST THREAD EVER!!
how about something that isn't fictional? like for instance back in the day, mike tyson, or currently brock lesnar, that is one dude i wouldn't fight and there aren't many i would stand down from.

Justinm26:
Ok yeah now I think we're getting somewhere.
I don't see why it can't be both real and fictional characters, sort of like Marvel Vs. Capcom
(even though it may be as the comparison of apples to oranges - this is just for fun anyhow)
and now that you mention it:
With the exception of the 'ear biting' incident, certainly Mike Tyson is one tough guy.
I do not dispute that since when he got going with the combos he was like a jackhammer.
I am not familiar with Brock Lesnar (U.F.C.?) but if he is worthy of comparison with Tyson....
Myself, I always liked George Foreman's fighting style and the relaxed state he seemed to be in during a match.
It's like he didn't consider his opponent to be a serious threat.

Imo he's much scarier. Brock is very powerful and he's very agile. Tyson was never much of anything besides a power hitter.

Re: Retro Uprising's BEST THREAD EVER!!
I just went to see who Brock Lesnar is, (he certainly does look powerful) and have to say that he is fast for his size.
In terms of tough:
he may even give Noah a run for his money.

Re: Retro Uprising's BEST THREAD EVER!!
Dudebro:
(Brock Lesnar's best F-5 video)
Maybe, and I say that because in the game he picks up several large farm type animals at the same time and runs with them.
But when it comes to feats of strength,
Pucca can literally move mountains when she is properly motivated (like when Garu is in trouble)
but if you want to talk about real world feats of strength:
(and of course I can't find a video right now)
Have you seen the strongman competitions where they do things like lift enormous steel or stone balls (Kong's?) and place them in a hole on a platform above chest height, lift things resembling engine blocks up a flight of steep steps, and other things of that nature?
All the videos I got when I typed in strongman were not from the competition I wanted to put up here.
There was this one:
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IGjY57hrjU"]YouTube - Derek Poundstone America's Strongest Man 2009 380lb Stone load at 68"[/ame]
but even this feat pales in comparison to the contest I am thinking of where contestants lifted several of them in succession each one being placed on increasingly higher platforms.
(apparently they are called Atlas balls)

Squalls stronger than both of them combined.
Carry a sword of this SIZE (Blasting Zone):

It pierced the earths ATMOSPHERE, and then some.

Smittycal:
Those videos were utterly convincing, and also really funny.
Re: the Domino's Institute testing the limits of what humans will eat video,
I believe it.
George Carlin said before he died that Americans (but this applies here in Canada too)
would eat ANYTHING AT ALL.

I realize the video is just a spoof, but it holds some truth.
Re: the Ninja parade slips by video,
I believe it.
In fact I was just at the Ninja parade here in Vancouver last Wednesday.
The theme was Doremon.

who reminds me of Stimpy from Ren & Stimpy, only with NO EARS
Also, samejamesbond:
I understand that Squall's attacks are indeed powerful but the real question is:
do you think he could take Brock Lesnar?
or how about
Noah? Jean-Claude van Damme? Pucca? Chuck Norris? the Leprechaun in Alabama?
Oh man, this is too much fun!

How is Squall metro?
He was in a love story, he never went the other way.
Lesnar doesn't even hold a candle, with that strength Squall could through trucks at the poor guy.

Metrosexual doesn't mean gay. It means he is a pretty boy and/or borderline feminine. Before you scramble to deny it, he wears a feathered half jacket and tight leather pants, he's metro.

Re: Retro Uprising's BEST THREAD EVER!!
Moses, eh?
Well, he does have 'Mo' in his name, as in 'Mo betta'.
Being directly associated with a deity also lends an aura of power to him.
I suppose we next need to determine who hung with Jesus mo - him or Noah?
However I think Samejamesbond may have a legitimate argument concerning Squall's sword.
For example, as an experiment I went outside last night (when everyone else in the neighborhood was asleep of course) and grabbed my house by the foundation and lifted it above my head for a few seconds before having to put it down again.
Seriously now if an average person can't even do such a simple thing as that then, yes, I must concede that wielding Squall's sword would require super-human strength such as seen in the Hulk or perhaps even Superman.

Squall still isn't,
Unfortunately some other swordwielders are. (100% NSFW)

After I asked my dad and had some thought about it, I have to change my mind.
Moses never had those powers, it was all god.
My father told me a 76 mile steel beam with a diameter of 15 feet would
weigh Millions, not thousands, Millions of Tons.
His sword would weigh more than the Empire State Building.
Never saw Superman or the Hulk lift that much.
Everyone else on this list (aside from Captain Falcon) would be pwned.
