I believe that a single, democratic government will rule the entire Solar system. I think intolerance will fade away, and that religious strife will end.
I also believe that electronics will be more prevalent, and that the damage to the environment will be reversed, though not completely. I believe that we will have colonies on Mars, and that we will be able to travel to other stellar systems and meet alien peoples. It won't all be perfect, though.
What do you think aliens will look like? I believe they will look like us.
Alien options (listed in order that I think likely):
1. They do not exist or they exist but we never meet them. People often forget how long time is. There could be alien life that existed a trillion years before us or a trillion years after us and we would never know. Also don't forget how big space is. We are not going to explore 0.000000000000000000001% of it without a major breakthrough in technology.
2. Alien life originated independently on it's own on another world.
3. [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panspermia"]Panspermia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] - life originated on Earth and was spread to other worlds or life originated elsewhere and spread to Earth - perhaps by a meteor.
4. God created us and the aliens.
In option 1 we never know. #2 they will look absolutely nothing like us. Option 3. They will be extremely different than us. Option 4. They will probably be fairly similar to us.
In the next 20 years I think the following will be as common as a cell phone.
A computer that:
is the size of a button on your shirt
that you can wear everywhere
that is always connected to the Internet everywhere for free
that can play any song, movie, game or book for free
that can tell you where you are and how to get to the next place you are going
you can communicate with it by voice so it does not require hands or eyes
the screen will be visible from contacts or glasses and controllable by moving your eyes.
I also predict that the publishing industry - music labels, book publishers, movie studios and game studios - will be replaced by independent small companies that rely on the Internet and word of mouth advertising to distribute media.
Media conglomerates will be replaced by independent media.
Independent media will mean less biased info which will mean more fair politics which will mean enormous changes.
Free online ivy league colleges worldwide in every language.
We will just be getting away from petroleum.
I think all of that will happen within 50 years.
In 50 years we should know if we totally screwed up the climate thing or if 99% of all scientist today were wrong. Either way we will not have made huge progress on taking care of the environment or the future.
All of the above I think are positive things. I think quality of life will actually be lower though due to a continued trend to have more stress and poorer diet and more over crowding and worst pollution and more worrying over the unimportant stuff and less care for what really matters in life.
In 100 years I think people will read about our generation in history class and think we were evil and selfish.
There will be some huge power struggle with China over water, power and money. China will win.
no one knows the hour nor the day but several signs are coming true (i won't get into that though) and 93 years is a long time... but yes some do guess every couple years and some say every stinkn' president is the Antichrist but don't do that kind of thing I'm just saying 93 years is along time
So when exactly is the rapture again? Don't they guess every couple years?
according to the weekly world news, the rapture will occur in the year 2000...
those are some pretty good predictions kong, concerning global warming, i think that half of the problem is the burning of fossil fuels and the other half is a natural warming cycle.
concerning alien life, yes, i would say that is accurate, i doubt we as a species will live long enough to find intelligent life unless they find us first. also, the first life that humans find is likely not to be intelligent, but much more likely single celled organisms.
future history classes will refer to the entire time frame of fossil fuel dependence as some sort of industrial age

depends on the scope you look at things, a minute can be a long time, a whole lot can happen in 1 minute. in the big picture, 93 years is nothing. i think someone made an analogy that if the entire history of the planet was a 24 hour clock, our time on earth is the equivilant of 3 seconds.

only 3 events could happen that would allow this to happen, 1. the rapture, 2. a catastophic event that destroys the human population (and even in that event, that isn't a definate) 3. intellegent alien life finds earth.
technology will advance, borders will look different, power will transfer... basically the same things that have happened for however long humans have existed
we will all be chipped
there will be a one goverment controlling the world
people will still be watching scarface
there proberley would have been another world war
and kinda like dudebro said
100 years? if we havent blown ourselfs up by then
all i know is that everyone we know now will be dead by then
dont class turtles as people
even though turtules will out live you
@steven: I imagine you make your own
@DB: "Beef patty with lettuce, tomato, salsa, sour cream, chili and Fritos on an eight-inch sesame seed bun." I imagine under the beef is the chili.
