Was there some other mode they added in for the NA release?

I've seen the first season of the anime series, and really enjoyed it. If it releases for $20 or under I'll probably go in for it within the year.

DB, I rekindled my Steam account.
Please name which free - to - play games so I can check system requirements and such, maybe give them a test run first.

I just browsed through the FTP games and remembered one of the problems is my low system specs; 1 GB of RAM is as high as I can go.

1gb of RAM might be hard to over come but I'll give it a shot. After looking for 5 minutes or so I came up with Trove and Fortress Forever. I'm not sure about Trove but FF looks like a good shooter. It's based on team fortress 1, that's why it looks a couple decades old.

Yikes! 1 GB of RAM is rough. I may be remembering wrong but don't you live in or close to Vancouver BC. If so and i have the specs of your PC l may have some spare parts around that could help you out.

Sadly this PC is locked in its present state and is wholly un - expandable due to the fact Vista is my OS; this uses up 2 out of my total 3 GB of RAM simply to run.

Side note:
Did you know that Vista was Windows' attempt to copy certain functions of its Apple counterpart OS {of the day} , one of the main features is being able to 'flip' through your photos and other stored data like a book on screen?
Big deal, right? - that's what I said when I found this out - it sure is not worth sacrificing so much RAM just to have this useless feature.

I've thought of changing my OS but it approaches the cost of a new {or used} PC just to buy the Windows programs.

There are other possibilities which I am hesitant to attempt; one is swapping my hard drive with another one in a second PC I was given some time ago.
This other PC has a really bad video card which won't even keep up to you tube.
The good news is it's loaded with Windows 7 {I think} which uses far less RAM than my current one loaded with Vista.

My concern is not knowing if such a swap is even possible due to drivers and othersuch programs, and what if I go ahead and make the transplant attempt and end up screwing up the working PC in the process?

The other obvious solution would be to swap my video card into the Win 7 PC - again, I'm hesitant because past experience has shown that old PC's sometimes don't like their parts swapped and I have had them quit working while performing similar operations.

What I mean is, I've tried to change parts around between 2 {other, much older} PC's and, after finding the newly created combination doesn't work have tried to put things back the way they were only to find the original configuration stopped working like it did prior to my messing around with it.

Granted this was over 10 years ago with the 'white' computers loaded with OS's like Win 98 and Win XP that had the ancient drives and even {legacy} floppy drives in them, and I know things are much improved since then.

But if I'm being overly cautious and swapping the hard drive is a viable solution, something you guys do regularly without a hitch then please let me know and I can stop being so paranoid about the attempt.

So if I am following you right you want to take the Hard Drive out of one Windows 7 Machine and then put it as the primary drive of the other.

This could work for you but there are some considerations. First you must make sure both machines already support hyper-threading as if either is single core without hyper-threading the swap won't work. Most likely this won't be a problem but it should be mentioned.

Second, is the Windows 7 you are moving over the 32-bit or 64-bit version? If it is 64-bit you need to make sure the CPU in the Vista machine supports 64-bit or again it won't work.

Next, you will be prompted to activate Windows 7 again and if you have never activated it anywhere before, then it should activate no problem. Otherwise you will have to call them to allow it to activate on this machine.

Windows 7 is pretty good about finding compatible drivers but it would be good to find out your exact motherboard model so you can download appropriate drivers to install after which should make it run better.

So it could work, but there is much to consider. Good Luck!

Elrod thanks so much for your input and you're right when you say there is much to consider.
And on that note I have decided to leave it alone, my reason being I would rather keep this working computer of lesser quality than potentially end up with no computer at all should things go wrong {which they have in the past for me} so my final decision is to keep my 'potato' as is.

Side note:
Why is a low - grade/ defective car called a lemon, but a low - grade/ defective computer called a potato?

Thanks again and just so everyone knows, the very day I am able I will upgrade to something better.

Oops I forgot to opt into their subscription and missed the giveaway. Oh well.

@Joz- You should be able to go to the bottom left of the steam window and click on "add game". From there "activate product on steam". If you do that and get an error then you might be boned but I don't think a steam code would be time sensitive, it's your digital copy of the game
