{cracking knuckles}
'Big Bang Theory' and other
Disney - esque programs are one of the reasons I got rid of my TV cable service and switched exclusively to internet.
Laugh tracks are
stupid; if they have to let you know what's supposed to be funny, then it
isn't funny, it's
forced.
Furthermore if the intention is to replace the reaction of a studio audience, why can't they use some
new laugh tracks instead of the same ones we've heard for the last 50 years - just like so many other old sound effects still being used, by the way.
Actually the straw that broke
this camel's back for TV was when, during a music award show, some guy dressed only in a Depends adult diaper announced that he was peeing, and the audience cheered wildly.
Immediately I was sickened by the level of intelligence being displayed by the audience, who, in my opinion, should have thrown rotten vegetables at him and booed him off stage.
The fact that they did the exact opposite and cheered him on alerted me to just how low people's moral standards have slipped in general that such disgusting displays are now permissible on TV.
I know I'm just an old fart but, I think there should be a time and place for everything, and TV is
not that place.
If you want to see something disgusting, watch Oderus Urungus at a GWAR concert {RIP}
and if you like Big Bang Theory then I don't see what you see in it.
BBT feels like watching The Flintstones to me.
