For me it's not the games it's who I'm gonna play them with. I got the 360 to play with my brother and my friends and now that none of them went next gen I'm not either. I play on PC because I already had a decent PC and Steam is super awesome about sales. That being said the WiiU is a possibility for me because my wife would probably end up liking it a lot and I enjoy some Nintendo games. Maybe I'll join you next year when the price drops more.

DKC: Tropical Freeze
Pikmin 3
Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD

And other good ones in there too that I haven't personally tried:

The Wonderful 101

As long as you have people to play with, WiiU games are ton of fun.

I can vouch for Hyrule Warriors, I've gotten at least 130 hours in the game so far. Assuming you like Zelda and like killing around a thousand enemies in a short time, give it a shot.

Buy all the Wii games you missed out on while they're still common, and play them in 1080p. Xenoblade Chronicles looks badass.

I think this really makes it relative, and I agree.

I'd say good decision, and I'd like to say the majority would agree but eh, everyone likes different things in gaming. I love the console personally. Even though the best games are only just starting to pour in at a decent rate, which is pretty pitiful for a console that's been out for a few years already. The best games have trickled in yeah, but the lineup of games they have coming out now, probably should have happened a lot sooner.

Personally I own:

Mario Kart 8
New Super Mario Bros U + Luigi U (Bundled)
Pikmin 3 (Free with MK8, have yet to play)
Super Smash Bros U

It's been a good time, I love the 3 listed that I've played

I've played others at friends quite a bit too, and that's a lot of the appeal for the console for me, is the local co-op aspect. Other very fun games are:

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
Super Mario 3D World
Hyrule Warriors

Everything you'd expect really.

It's such a shame consoles have fallen so fa from their grace. I'm looking at about 5-6 games I want to play. If the new Zelda is anywhere near as good as my hype suggests it should be, I'll concider the purchase justified.

Also, 1 thing I noticed, those amibos must be selling like mad, there was an entire 6 foot rack and they only had a few left.

I recommend Netflix, Mario 3D World, Mario & Luigi Bros U, Wind Waker HD, Wii Party U (multiplayer only), and Mario Kart 8. Game & Wario is mediocre, at best. Just got Lego Batman 3 to play with my wife. I'll figure out what my Nintendo name is to add people as friends sometime soon. Oh, and if you don't have Fortune Street for Wii already, you are missing out big time IMO. We use our U a lot for Fortune Street still.

Fortune Street comes out every Christmas for family fun.

Right now I got 3D World and Nintendoland.

World is awesome, Land probably will never be inserted into my WiiU again.

Kart 8, Wonderful 101 and possibly Bayonetta 2 are planned purchases. Captain Toad has potential, I'll need to learn a bit more about it. I'm wondering if it's basically a collection of mini games from World. The new Zelda might be amazing if it delivers what I hope it will.

I honestly bought a Wii U for the sole fact that I'm an admin of the Nintendo Nerds Forum. Having said that, I skipped out on the Wii, so it's a good opportunity to get caught up. I've mostly played Smash and MK8 to this point, though.

I try to put in about a half hour of kart 8 before bed each night. The game is extremely good. Missing 2 mirror cups for all three stars, and about 3/4 of the way through the time trial ghosts. Got about 3k online points.
