Re: Food Thread
Do you you guys have Doritos Zesty in the states? I opened a bag today only to find them tasting pretty much like nacho cheese, which I'm not a fan of. Sparse google results are kinda making me think they are a Canada only flavour.
So if I'm mistaken, and the rest of the world does get them, has anyone noticed a change in flavour? I'm pretty pissed off about it, they were my favorite chips, since I was a kid.

Yes, I just bought a bag from CVS for a dollar. I'm not a fan.
They came in a package that looked like this:

Re: Food Thread
Okay, those appear to be different, mine type are not hot, and they are just called Zesty Cheese.
Anyway, I tried a few more later on in the evening... and they tasted normal again wahoo!!!
I think what happened was when I tasted them the first time, it was between bites of Kraft Diner with tuna and peas. It must of really messed with my taste buds. Anyway, I'm glad they are back to normal.

No, it's not like Nacho Cheese, it's just a cheese flavor with no weird spices. I don't like Nacho Cheese either.

Made a thai green curry this afternoon using milk instead of coconut cream. Surprisingly it doesnt lose any flavor. Also used brown rice as an alternative

Your 'AAAARRGGGG!!!!' makes me confused; please explain what you mean.
Is it a good thing when you put it in your egg drop soup, or is it the result of some freak accident, demon possession, or what?
{edit: suffering sudden acute demon possession, need to have da sauce!}

Re: Food Thread
Tonight is scalloped potatoes and ham.

Might as well do this right.
Yesterday for breakfast I had a glass of orange juice. For lunch I had a cup of coffee. For dinner I had scalloped potatoes and ham with two slices of buttered Italian bread and a glass of ice water. After dinner we went to a party where I had some chips and dip, a bowl of chili, and two glasses of tequila on the rocks.

What, no other takers?
Yesterday for brunch I had a cup of coffee, an early dinner of home fries, scrambled eggs, toast, and a glass of milk. For a late night snack I had a turkey sandwich and a bottle of vitamin water.

Re: Food Thread
Ten:
I don't understand what's going on - suddenly this thread went from casual mentions of favorite foods to a full - menu list.
Maybe I'm not the only one confused and startled by this sudden change in format?
For me, food has become like a welcome stranger .. you never quite know who's going to show up but you're happy to see them all the same.
Basically I walk into the store, and whatever is on sale is what's on the menu.
I look at the price, then I look at what the thing actually is, and if it's not too hideous then it's what's for dinner!

Re: Food Thread
I usually eat leftovers in the morning-mid afternoon and then whatever my wife makes/orders for dinner. It's all good.

Re: Food Thread
Coffee for breakfast. Leftover chicken and biscuits and a vitamin water for lunch. Goulash and a Sierra Nevada beer for dinner.
@Joe: Just curious about eating habits.
@DB: My work day is usually pretty straight forward. Coffee for breakfast, leftovers for lunch, then dinner when I get home.

Re: Food Thread
Coffee for breakfast never made sense to me. If I did that it'd be like this-
Breakfast-coffee only
Brunch- lots of pooping
Lunch- something that might settle my stomach from the coffee squirts
Lupper- more poop and possibly some angry tears
Dinner- whatever my wife makes for dinner

Re: Food Thread
Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs
Lunch: Leftovers from last night or a Sandwich
Dinner: Whatever my parents make that night/takeout
And I usually snack on chips, chocolate/candy, fruit, ice cream, etc throughout the day if I'm hungry.
