I don't really care who wins but my friend likes GB just because they're winning this season so I'm rooting against him to piss him off

well, looks like i'll end up rooting for the Steelers (the Pack is not exactly popular with me) but at least Eric Berry and Tamba Hali get to replace the Steelers' Harrison and Polamalu in the Pro Bowl along with Cassel over Brady

Of the four teams remaining, I think we got the best possible matchup. Steelers v. Packers, this is going to be awesome!

Congrats to Tenser and his Steelers for solidifying their dynasty even further. Mike Tomlin has proved once again that he is one of the best coaches in the NFL. The man is an Old School Pimp!

I will be rooting for the Northern California raised Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers, but I won't be mad to see either team win. I was surprised to see the Packers as a 2.5 point favorite, but the more I think about it the more it makes sense. From what I have seen, the Steelers can be beat by a dangerous passing team (Patriots) and Rodgers certainly has the ability to toss the ball around.

As long as we see a good game, I'll be content, and I'm pretty sure we will. My prediction is that we'll have a fairly low scoring game. I'm going to say 24-20 with Green Bay taking home the trophy.

No one in the NFC scares me. Entire conference is filled with chump teams. 9 out of 10 times anyone in the AFC playoffs would beat anyone in the NFC playoffs. I considered the AFC Chempionship the Superbowl at the outset.

If the Pack wins it'll only be because Pitt shot themselves in the foot.

Strong words, but I understand where you are coming from. The AFC is consistently the stronger division. I guess that means you are

to take the 2.5 points.

It's the crummy management. I think Sabby's Raiders are better than the Bengals. Hell even the QB wants out. I was born and raised a Cinci fan but enough is enough, I don't care about losing, I care if they TRY instead of Mike Brown being so pocket tight with money. I mean get a GM. =/

Yeah, but that is just recently. I looked up something, since the Raiders Superbowl appearance in 2003, the Raiders have had more top 5 picks than Cinci (3-1), the one pick that Cinci had, the quarterback in question, Carlson Palmer. The Raiders got Robert Gallery (Solid Tackle), JaMarcus Russell (I do not need to add anything here), Darius Hayward-Bay (WR, small for position).

) Final 31 - 28, but I would not be surprised if the score was inverse and the Steelers win.

Well I meant managementwise. I stuck by them in the 90s, but Brown from what I've seen just don't care about football. Least Al Davis wants to win, Brown just wants to hike up the prices.

Gotta admit I like good FB too, like the Jets vs the Colts last minute etc. I'm just tired of the management which they act like they don't want to win (I think Cinci is the only team without a GM) I don't care about winning, I'd just rather have a team who cares for it's fans like the Reds now do. Not someone who just cares about cash.

@ Tails - I was shocked that the Bengals didn't fire Marvin Lewis after this season. I think they need a shakeup at the top and things could turn around rather quickly. They have an above average defense and pretty decent talent at the skills positions.

That said, if Carson Palmer wants out, I'm sure the 49ers would be happy to have him.

Then the coach isn't the issue, it is the management. The teams that are traditionally successful in the NFL, the Steelers, Patriots, Colts, Packers, Giants, Eagles, Bears, the common thread they share is they have great front office staff members.

The firing of the coach is the bandaid treatment. You want a serious, long term, winning change for your franchise, address the management of your team.

Very true. I guess I was talking about two separate issues.

The Bengals front office is a mess. Marvin Lewis has been a lame duck, though. They had a good (flukey) season last year and perhaps one other respectable year under the guy and that's it.

Very true, but both teams have good to great defenses. Pittsburgh's is better, I do not doubt that, but the Packers have a pretty decent one as well.

Any thoughts to the Pro Bowl being played the week prior to the Super Bowl this year, anyone going to watch? Or is everyone else like me and could care less?

Fox is promoting a "Super Interview" between Bill "Not sure how the Tides work" O'Reilly and Barack "Combo Breaker" Obama prior to the Super Bowl. Does anyone care about this either? What are the odds that 1. the college football BCS/playoff argument gets brought up, 2. either O'Reilly or Obama state that the NFL should switch to a BCS style system.
