I'm hoping the Seahawks get kicked out of the league, even though they are the closest thing to my home team, they just suck too bad.
The Packers better do good.

I think the two teams in the AFC to watch are the Chiefs and the Colts. The two teams to watch in the NFC are the Bears and the Falcons

I moved to Minneapolis a week ago, and live about a mile from the dome. I'm hoping I can go to a game or two this season. So consider me a Viking fan this season.

The Chiefs are a compelling sleeper this season, but I just don't think it'll happen. Matt Cassell, Jamaal Charles and Dwayne Bowe are nice players, but I don't think they'll be there in the end.
I do think the AFC West is wide open this year. The Chargers are expected to win, but I think they will face unexpected challengers. Perhaps it will be the Chiefs. As crazy as it sounds, it COULD be the Raiders year to rebound.

Re: NFL
Um, Tenser should know that a lot of these rape charges against guys like Big Ben have usually turned out to be attempts to get money. Still, I think my 49ers will do pretty well this year.

Tenser, should I point him to the link you posted about this incident, or would you like to do that? I'm not going to call Big Ben a rapist, but he's definitely got a little scumbag in him.
As for the Niners, I'm cautiously optimistic. I still have ZERO faith in Alex Smith, but he will have had the same offensive coordinator for the first time, and he definitely has some weapons with Crabtree and Vernon Davis. Mike Singletary deserves a lot of credit for getting that lockerroom turned around. Even still, I believe they will have a hard time winning a pretty mediocre NFC West, and I'm a Niners fan.

Re: NFL
Go Packers, hell yeah.
Sure they don't have Favre anymore, but I seem to remember him screwing up big time on the Vikings, throwing an easy interception.

Re: NFL
And everyone is going to do better than Denver and Seattle, there is no way Seattle will suddenly become good. They were in the Superbowl once, but they got destroyed. They just suck, both of them.

Re: NFL
I'm telling you, guys. My 49ers will kill their division once Singletary makes all the adjustments he's made final. He knows his defense. All I got to say is the Bears have sent them one really hardcore coach.
BTW, as far as Seattle goes, just because they made only one Super Bowl and lost doesn't mean they suck. Buffalo went to 4 and lost all 4. Now that's a lousy team.

I hope you are right about our 49ers, fenrir! Honestly though, I don't think they are going to run away with anything. The NFC West is probably the weakest division in football, which is good for the Niners, but they have a lot of question marks:
1) Alex Smith - I can't tell you how many times I've yelled at the televsion "WHY DIDN'T YOU DRAFT AARON RODGERS!!!"
2) Eric Heitman (starting OL) is out with a broken leg.
3) Limited weapons at WR. I need to see something from Crabtree this year before I'm a true believer. V. Davis is the real deal, however...
4) Can Frank Gore stay healthy?
I love their Defense and I love coach Singletary. I think the Seahawks will surprise some people. They have a very easy schedule and a good blend of veterans and young talent. Justin Forsett is a sleeper RB this year. I don't have much faith in Arizona doing anything with Leinart at the helm, but you never know. St. Louis will be better, but won't compete for the division.
In short, this is the Niner's division to lose. If they don't win this division, it will be a major disappointment. I can't wait for football season!!!

Seattle went to one, lost one.
Most seasons they have one of the worse records in the league, and there are plenty of years they don't even make it into the playoffs.
At least a team that has gotten to the Super Bowl four times, has been good enough to get that far four times.
