I never did any of that "Easy with two fingers" mumbo jumbo. I just put all my fingers on their respective frets, and when I need to hit an orange note, I move my hand down. The yellow fret has a little bump on it, and I use that to keep track of which finger is on which fret.

Right now I am playing drums on expert in Rock Band. Now THAT is a challenge.

Finshed easy with my 2 fingers idea, about half way through med all 5 stars, playing with what I learned. I can now play the top 2 frets with my index finger, which will leave my pinky for the orange fret. Playing this way also allows me to shift my fingers up and down as stated above. So basically retraining worked well for me, and now I have a better feel for the frets, rather than being locked into 1 finger 1 fret, which is how I learned to play to begin with.

It you can jump up to hard and just do a hand shift, then more power to you, but if you are having problems you may want to think about re-training your fingers as I did.

i just recently got used to the orange fret. my hands are small cuz ima short girl. is the dragonforce song on guitar hero 3 or rockband i cant remember right now cuz ive been playin them both. anyways its madness on expert. well its madness no matter what

I have a friend who is really good at the rock band drums on expert and it definitely takes skill. Although im pretty good at guitar I can only play drums on hard and even on hard i struggle

Working my way through hard, it's humbling. Mostly 3 stars, a few 4 starts, no 5 stars. Each time I play I get better though, so there's improvement. Not like there wasn't lots of room for it though... Having a hard time getting the star power on hard. My hand also continues to adjust to the 5 frets, it's tired after I play. Yes it's hard to get old.

Also need to practice the hard level pull offs and hammer ons.

Slash continues to taunt me, I get him so close he's flashing, but then I miss my power up and it's all over.

i too am slowly progressing through hard yesterday i beat talk dirty to me on hard in my career but now im stuck on rock and roll all night

iits because im still working on 5 starring all songs on medium.yesterday i five starred one by metallica
now i just need to five star raing blood, number of the beast and a few others i think the numbers of songs left to five-star on medium is actually like 6

Beat Slash at lunch. Seems he couldn't take an expert level up, with double notes at the end.

Also I have problems with the game, songs skipping, audio off, until I updated my Wii.

Yeah youll find yourself improving all the time. I remember when i first tried to move to expert i beat one song then i beat another and before i knew it i had beat about half. I got alot better really quick after i was stuck on hard for what seemed like forever. Now i consider myself pretty skilled being able to play flawlessly through a bunch of expert songs

Some of them I can barely get started in... Going to have to slow them down and practice. You know hit MOAR notes!

Sometimes I find that cranking it up with hyper speed helps as well, then regular seed seems slower.

It's a cheat you can enter, it's under options on the main menu. It speeds up the notes, but spreads them out. Check out gamefaqs for the code. Debate rages whether it's "cheating" or not.

I need to go back and 5-star all the medium songs sometime. I hate raining blood though.

what i have yet to understand about the guitar hero games is the game has almost no graphics this entire game could easily be but into high def graphics with no problem yet they uses crappy cartoon characters and another thing that i hated in GH2 was they used clones of the entire crowd they would have like 5 separate people then make them all do the same thing ... why on earth could they not do better its not like it would eat up to much memory the game only holds songs ...

(but don't get me wrong Ive been a huge fan of guitar mania in the real arcades for years... way way before guitar hero came out)

Took me a while as well, I'm suck at Japan, and I mean stuck. I can barely get started when I fail the song.

i beat slash yesterday

in japan i beat stricken by disturbed and ive been practicing the others because i cant beat them. i noticed hobbes and i are going at the same pace

I spent the weekend with friends playing co-op. It's sweet to have 2 guitars!

after three months i beat japan on hard. i easily beat number of the beast and cliffs of dover but then the last two songs left on hard are raining blood and one
