Actually, I don't mind everyday 'pop' rock once in a while like the stuff they play on the 'rock' stations, but from my point of view,

I think it's cute how people think they're 'bad ass'

when they listen to stuff like AC/DC and they're making the Maloik...

Wow, I thought this thread died a while ago, not to mention tastes really do change. Or I was smoking something when I started this, Metallica my favorite metal band..... haha I like them, but they are far from my favorite

While he's great, I'm not sure if he will last, his sound seems more fit amongst the metal bands of the '90s, the music sounds too clean and clear to satisfy most modern metal fans.

I don't agree with that, I think that the grind-core/ overly distorted, pig squealing music is a passing fad. There are a lot of different sub-genres of metal so there's got to be some-one somewhere that listens to it, I don't think he'll ever get BIG, but I think he's got the longevity for the haul

Sabbath is probably my all-time fav metal band. Here lately I've enjoyed Five Finger Death Punch, Avenged Sevenfold, All That Remains, and Slipknot.

Nice vids sir. modern metal does have a lot going for it.

i remember when i heard Disturbed do "Land of Confusion" and fell in love with it. never thought I'd enjoy a Phil Collin's song lol.

I find this funny because I'm on the other side of this equation. I'm not a Collins fan but I like that song. I never thought I'd like a Disturbed song but their cover is awesome.
