Six years have passed since the infamous Raccon City incident and Umbrella Corporation's
downfall. Now retired cop-now secret service agent Leon S. Kennedy is sent on a mission
to rescue Ashley Graham, the President's daughter, from a local Spanish cult called
"Los Illuminados" or "The Enlightened" in spanish.
At first everything is to plan, until Leon is attacked by local villagers who all seem to
be affected by a disease. After Leon rescues Dr. Luis Sera, it is revealed both he and
Ashley have been infected by "Las Plagas", the same disease the villagers are
infected with and if they hatch in their bodies they'll be under the cult's control, and
giving them access to the President himself.
Gameplay:
Resident Evil 4 plays different from previous Resident Evil titles, the game sports a
new over-the-shoulder view verses the set angle look of the other titles bring new
depth to gameplay such as targeting various parts of the body on the enemies.
It may case them to stager or drop their weapons.
A new feature is the merchant, who allows you to purchase new weapons or
upgrades for your existing weapons and equipment using the money you amass
throughout the plot.
He also provides you with the sharpshooter minigame, a simple way to kill time for
collectables to be seen later.
The merchant's awkward dialogue has become infamous among gamers,
just look at what happens if you do it in real life:
I'd wear that for halloween.
Another major change in the series is the use of quick time events, where you must
input a command in a quick period to prevent injury or death:

One place Resident Evil 4 delivers is the epic boss fights they're all intense and at
the same time entertaining, each looking as grotesque as ever:
Leon needs a bigger boat: (NSFW)
After you complete the story mode, Mercenaries mode is unlocked allowing you to
unlock new weapons and upgrades for the campaign.
If you own the PS2, Wii, or PC version "Seperate Ways" will be unlocked as well, which details the story of Ada Wong during the story line.
Graphics:
Capcom really outdid themselves with Resident Evil 4, the graphics are outstanding
with each character having unique atires and weaponry.
The castle itself has very unique environments which look amazing for the Gamecube.
Sound:
The songs in Resident Evil 4 are Resident Evil standard, they can't stand on their
own, but with the rich combat it blends very nicely.

Overall:
This game is an Essential if you own either a Gamecube, Wii, or Playstation 2.
There are little to no flaws in any department and there's a reason in Nintendo Power's
Top 200 games, it scored second behind Ocarina of Time.
