Re: winter olympics

ryan miller

all and all, i'm not trying to knock canada, but i am much more impressed with the us team. the only game canada played that impressed me was the russia beat down. they snuck by in a couple of games, while the us was solid in all of the games they played. canada going into the games was the favorite, they met their expectation, the usa surpassed it.

on the overtime, after first possession, i knew they (usa) were in trouble, no offense, playing totally defensive

I figured Canada would win, especially when overtime had started.

Re: winter olympics

playing not to lose...in both cases, they should have been playing to win.

so, final critique of the olympics, it was fine, it is always well done on nbc, canada had a great olympics, usa did fine, i think this is the first winter olympics they have lead medals in a long time. as far as the olympic stars from the us, ohno i have thought was always overrated, ended with three. lindsey vonn was hurt and dq'ed, but still got her medals, shawn davis got his, bode miller had a good comeback olympics, jacobellis was a dissappointment. the usa cross country, bobsled, and speed skating were good upsets. our curling sucks.

Re: winter olympics

Dude, Ohno was never overrated. He had nothing to do with that crash in the 500 and still got disqualified. A travesty in my opinion. As to the medal count, we led Salt Lake too.
