What flavor suits YOUR tastes?
I'm curious to know what flavors you guys think are GREAT!
This can include
Candy
Ice Cream
Cake
or things of a dessert or sweet - tooth satisfying nature.
In addition to stating your favorite flavor, please post a pic of the way you like to enjoy your favorite flavor.
Like this:
Usually I go for chocolate, in a semi - sweet, high - cocoa content bar.
, but I like cake, too
and once in a while, but they're .

Re: What flavor suits YOUR tastes?
I prefer salt over sweet. I'll take a bag of chips over candy any day of the week. Although, every once in a great while I go into a major candy binge and hit the convenience store and grab a few candy bars.

Re: What flavor suits YOUR tastes?
I don't really have a big sweet tooth so I'll opt for the chips and pretzels. I only have cake on my birthday and pie during Thanksgiving.

Re: What flavor suits YOUR tastes?
I prefer salt over sweet as well. If I quit drinking I will have sweets. Kinda like the recovering alcoholic that has 8 sugars in his coffee to make up for all that sugar in booze they aren't getting anymore.

Re: What flavor suits YOUR tastes?
Hi guys!
Looks like a pretty even spread on the poll so far, but I forgot to include 'Other, please specify' in the poll.
I thought I had it all covered, but DN surprised me with something not easily referenced, categorized, or cataloged.
the snacks are out there...
So if something isn't on the list please feel free to state it and post a pic if you like.

Hmmm, I never heard of that before but now that you mention it, I wonder about the thousands of latte junkies here in Vancouver, lined up out the door to get their cuppa sweet bean juice daily.
Hey, it looks like a kitteh!

Re: What flavor suits YOUR tastes?
I added a "none of the above" option and cast my vote for it. If I had to pick off that list I'd go with chips but only because I prefer salty/starchy stuff.
I was looking for something else but this picture looks so damn good I had to go with it instead-

Re: What flavor suits YOUR tastes?
I thought this topic was what is your favorite desert/junk food. If it is favorite flavor then hands down hot. Anything hot and the hotter the better.
Followed up by vinegar and fermented.

Thanks for adding that option to the poll; I should have put it up there.
I tried to include enough options to encompass the majority of commonly chosen snack/dessert type foods.
In any event the bowl of chili looks good to me, too.
I had a hard time deciding on what to write myself, since I do have a strong coffee addiction and tend to have several cups a day.
The chocolate almost lost to the coffee.
Tenser, how could I forget the pie a' la mode?
Kong, I eat these noodles
These are the best tasting noodles ever and they have no MSG, and if you guys REALLY like hot, start with this yellow ("mild") pack.
But wait, I need to give you an idea of what I call hot.
I used to grow my own peppers when I had a garden and would eat them right off the plant:
hot thai, jalapenjo, and even a hungarian/harbanaro hybrid.
Now that we have that established, the "mild" pack noodles make my nose and scalp sweat.
THE "hot" variety is a truly painful experience.
Enjoy, guys.

Re: What flavor suits YOUR tastes?
I don't get why people like to ruin the taste of food with stuff that feels like it's eroding your tongue. I can handle some hot stuff but when it gets to a certain point the flavor just disappears for me and it's all intense heat.

Re: What flavor suits YOUR tastes?
THE burning sensation varies with the type and amount of peppers being used.
I think most of the Mr. Noodle grade of instant noodles use cheyenne, and the Ramyun Shin and Jin Ramyon will be using the much hotter ground chili peppers and possibly some soup base as well like Jin does.
Speaking about fresh - a - peppers,
The heat is ALL in the white parts; the seeds and the 'ribs' running the length of the pepper.
I didn't believe it until a friend showed me by carefully slicing the ribs and seeds out of one of my wicked hot peppers and
it was just as cool as this, really:
It's really a matter of personal taste when it comes to spicy food, and I happen to be a nut for it.
Yes, it hurts, but it doesn't damage your taste buds like I have heard some people say it does
Other people think regular black pepper is too hot, and if they feel cheeky may try some
white pepper for a change!
And then there's those people who think ordinary red onions are too spicy when you put them in a salsa, even decanted.
Everybody is different.
