RetroUprising Twitch Game Streaming

RetroUprising will be starting up it's own Twitch channel for streaming gaming. They'll be everything from casual Let's Plays to World Record attempts featuring both modern and retro games, all done by our own member base.

You can visit our Twitch channel here.

If you would like to get involved with our Twitch channel you can join our Twitch group here. Joining will also let you stay up to date with what events are going on with our Twitch channel.

If you would also like to stream on our channel we ask that you be a member in good standing (level 20 or higher). Some exceptions to this will be made by invite only.

You will need to register to Twitch to stream but not to view.
Twitch Registration

You should also have an upload speed of at least 1mb or greater.

By asking to stream on RetroUprising's Channel you agree to Twitch's Terms of Service, RetroUprising's Rules will also apply, and that any content streamed is fair use for RetroUprising.Com.

This is an ongoing project, please be patient.

Neat idea. I stream quite regularly (usually DK), though lately I've been streaming some RU games. I don't meet the level 20 criteria though to make use of the RU stream channel.

Just to let everyone know. You can stream any game you want! It doesn't have to be a game that's on the site, we just wanted one collective stream to support Retro Uprising as a whole and make it more aware for the community.

If you guys want more info, please join the social group. We are still going over some things but hopefully we can have it up and running soon

I'll be streaming semi-frequently for the channel. Using my own channel, as well as this one. New computer. A Look at what I'm dealing with.

Download Speed: 26.96 MB
Upload Speed: 6.59 MB

Capture Card: Diamond GC1000 HD PVR, Composite, Component, HDMi Support.

So yeah, upgrade from that crummy laptop and old capture card. I'll probably invest in a payed streaming program down the road, but for now it will be freeware. That might bog things down slightly, but yeah. I'm good to go. I do this stuff normally on youtube & twitch.

If I'm streaming for RU, I'll be streaming older games. Just to clarify. I have my own channel for whatever else.

As far as the RU channel, Can mods post up INPs upon request of Speedruns and WRs due to the INPs being RU property? Can we just suggest that they be "Honest" runs of the games?

Yes, While having our own channels also. I wouldn't say EVERYONES because lord knows that would be crazy, Im just saying best of the best clears and Impressive High Scores.

I would like to stream barbie. And every barbie game in the series. I know people have been clamoring for these videos. Also, i play in a bra with 20 different camera angles. So.

Exactamondo ChrisP! Another good Idead would be to add something new to the home page as in a notifier of some sort to let people know when we will be streaming if there is not going to be a schedule for it and it will be at random times. Even better , Maybe we can add like a " Live Chat Box " to the Home Page instead of everyone chatting with one another through the forums, That would be another good way to notify.
