L cancels construction while you are still holding down A R toggles between population and city funds information Pad move cursor in order to select modes or items, or move around development screen Y with control pad, allows you to scroll throughout the screen without the cursor all the way to the edge B cancels item selected and moves cursor between the developing screen and icons A selects item indicated by the icon and begins building if appropriate X centers the screen on the cursor
