Mario has kidnapped Junior's Papa!
Donkey Kong Jr. was originally released in the arcades in 1982 as a sequel to Donkey Kong. In this game, Mario plays the antagonist, finally having captured Donkey Kong, and has put the ape in a locked cage. As Donkey Kong Jr., players will have to make their way through four different levels (Vines, Springboard, Chains and Mario's Hideout) in an attempt to find keys to free the little monkey's Father.
Along the way, Mario will send out Snapjaws, swooping purple birds, and electric sparks in an attempt to stop Junior. Junior can defend himself by dropping fruit found around the levels on the heads of his foes. The more foes a piece of fruit hits in a falling sequence, the higher bonus points can be scored.
Junior can also avoid enemies more easily by grabbing hold of two chains or vines at a time to climb away faster, or by jumping over his foes. However, any long fall or falling into the water on certain levels will mean the loss of a life for Junior.
In the final cut scene, Junior will free Donkey Kong and both will escape after giving Mario the boot. Once all four levels are cleared, the game levels will start over at a higher difficulty.
Like the original Donkey Kong, the earlier 1980's console versions do not have all of the levels and animations from the arcade.

Something of a role reversal for this superb sequel to the seminal 1981 platform-based original, with Mario now cast as the villian (the only Mario game in which this occurred) and Donkey Kong the captured victim.
Donkey Kong's son, DK Junior, must rescue his captured father from Mario's clutches by climbing and jumping his way over vines, chains and platform before he can reach his father. Junior has to race against time while avoiding the horrible Snap jaws and birds released by Mario.
Like the original, Donkey Kong Junior features four different screens, but the first and second screens are repeated before the final two screens are reached.

Remember in Donkey Kong how Mario fought Papa Donkey Kong? Well, Mario won. Now he has Papa locked up like an animal in a cage. Only you, Donkey Kong Junior, can save Papa. You have to reach a special key to unlock the cage. But Mario has other userideas. As you nimbly climb trees and gracefully swing across vines towards your goal, Mario sends jaw-snapping creatures after you. You earn extra points by plucking fruit to bonk them. When you have won your first challenge, another scene appears with even greater obstacles. And the third level is the most difficult of all. You can do it! After all, you're a chimp off the old block!

Hi everybody! I'm Mario. How's it going? Over the last few years, I've been involved in some wild adventures. Now, believe it or not, I work in the virus research lab at the Mushroom Kingdom Hospital. Today I'm about to begin my research as usual.
"Dr. Mario, something terrible has happened !"
"What's wrong, nurse Toadstool?"
"One of the experiments has gone out of control. The viruses are spreading quickly !"
"Oh no! We've got to do something! I have just developed a new vitamin that should be able to take care of it. I sure hope this stuff works !"

Game & Watch Gallery 2 presents players with Modern and Classic incarnations of five Game & Watch titles: "Chef," "Parachute," "Donkey Kong," "Vermin," and "Helmet."
"Chef" sees players trying to continuously balance various food items using two frying pans. The objective here is to ensure that food does not fall on the floor or get snatched by a cat lurking above. In "Parachute" players attempt to maneuver a small rowboat across the screen, catching parachutists as they fall from the sky. Reminiscent of the NES title of the same name, "Donkey Kong" requires players to save the princess from the barrel-hurling simian by avoiding traps and unhooking the cable supports of the platform on which he rests.
"Vermin" has players trying to stave off the advances of numerous moles by simply hitting them on the head with a mallet as they emerge from the ground. As a hapless worker in "Helmet," players must avoid falling objects while making for the safety of a shed.

Mario and Wario is a 1993 Mario side-scrolling puzzle video game designed by Satoshi Tajiri and developed by Game Freak for the Super Famicom console. The game was released only in Japan on August 27, 1993 and requires the SNES Mouse accessory to play.
Mario & Wario focuses on Mario, who has various objects, including buckets and vases, placed atop his head by the antagonist Wario. Because the objects render Mario sightless, it is the main goal of the player to guide Mario through each level, which consist of various obstacles and traps, to his brother Luigi, who can remove the offending object. The player must also complete each level within a specified time limit. Because Mario will constantly walk left or right regardless of any oncoming hazards, the player controls the fairy Wanda, who possesses the ability to manipulate the environment in order to protect Mario.

Mario Brothers is a superb, single-screen platform game in which the legendary "Mario Brothers", Mario and Luigi, must try to rid each level of a number of pests that have infested the waterworks: Shellcreepers (turtles), Sidesteppers (crabs that need to be hit twice) and Fighterflies (flies, that can only be attacked when they touch a platform).
As well as the game's enemies, players are also hampered by the huge amount of inertia that comes into play when controlling Mario or Luigi. This is due to the low degree of traction that exists between the Mario brothers and the platforms. On later levels, ice appears on the platforms reducing the amount of traction even further. As the game progresses, water drops hang below the platforms and freeze into deadly icicles, which will eventually break off and fall.
