Looking for an old cartoon
So every year or so I remember this cartoon from when I was a kid, I'm thinking it was from 84-86.
I remember very little from it but I will try to explain what I do remember as best as I can, this is all very vague and might not even be correct.
It was about this kid who gets bullied, I seem to remember him in a garbage can a la never ending story. Then the kid enters some weird magic shop that is run by this ancient looking wizard, and aquires this little magic ring. He runs into the bullies again, and he transforms into this bat like creature, he gets claws and wings and fur everywhere, and a typical devil tail. I think his clothes only partially teared off like hulk, and I seem to remember a school jacket that was red with white sleeves.
Anyone have any ideas about what this was? I think it was a one-shot halloween special, and not a series. Seriously this has been bugging me for about 20 years.

Re: Looking for an old cartoon
That sounds familiar, except I remember it as a Saturday morning cartoon series.

Vaguely familiar.

If it was a series then it would seem I only caught or remembered the first episode, and it wasnt teen wolf. Here's a quick visual of what I remeber:

I know that jacket at the very least.
The description sounds rather familiar, about the kid turning into a bat-type monster.
Do you have anymore information though, like does the kid ever get rid of the magic ring?

Re: Looking for an old cartoon
Nope, I've pretty much describe everything I remember. I posted about it on a lost 80's cartoon website, maybe that will yield a result.

So they got back to me in a hurry, I'm pretty confident thay got it right, but I can't find a screen shot or video anywhere but I'm going to keep looking. They identified it as an episode of "CBS Storybreak" the episode being called "The Monster's ring". The series animated children story books into half hour episodes.

Re: Looking for an old cartoon
My turn?
The video I'm looking for is much newer, maybe from the end of the millenium or something. Either way, it is about and old man and a young man out on a boat fishing. On the bottom of the lake stands a corpse in shoes of concrete which sings a jazz song before he attacks the guys up in the boat.
I saw this on shockwave before they turned kiddie-friendly and after that I can not find it anymore.

Re: Looking for an old cartoon
@nuetral, shockwave according to wiki only started in 2007, I never even heard of it.
The guys over at 80scartoons.net are on the hunt for a screenshot for me. I don't think they will find one though.

This topic is kinda fun, I'm gonna try to remember some more vague memories and I encourage you all to do the same.

"Started in 2007"?
I remember Shockwave.com being around earlier then that. Strange, but maybe they mean that it was restarted? Because like whatever, if somebody finds that video then I'll be in heaven. I have spent years on and off trying to find it as of now.

More like 24 years later, but yea, I feel like a new man.
According to this guy my search would have been in vain, it was not on the internet at all until some dude put it on youtube recently:
