Buy one if you want but you could always just wait and see how much you like the game. You'll still get standard item drops and 50 spaces is a bunch of room. I doubt you're gonna do any advanced crafting so that limit shouldn't bother you either.

I'm enjoying TF2, but I'm not very good.
Pyro is really easy and cheap, but Sniper is the most fun class for me right now.

It doesn't take long to get better at the game. Like you said Pyro is pretty easy. Lots of people think of it as a noob class but really it's great. Besides just burning people they're the only answer for heavy spy activity. Anything that catches fire needs to be killed.

Engineer is another one that can be easy to pick up. Just figure out good places to put turrets and your golden. Their shotgun is strong and the pistol is surprisingly good at long range. Once you get the mini sentry you can be more mobile and agile.

The spy is kind of difficult at times, but he's fun to play as just to disguise myself as a spy of the opposite team.

I agree, spy is fun, especially with friends. It's so satisfying to pull the wool over your friend's eyes.

@DM- Spy is hard for most people. I used to be really good at it in TF classic but they took away my main tools, the hallucination grenade and the fake death command. Now when I play it I just use the motion sensitive item to stay cloaked a lot and I only go for high value targets like Heavies, Medics or Engineers. I get killed a lot but stabbing a medic when he's trying to get an Ubercharge is so satisfying and it can really change the momentum of a teams charge.

I don't know how but my brother is really good with it. Sometimes he gets backstab combos that devastate the other team and cause them to overdue it switching to pyro, it's funny to see.

@Chris- That price is tempting but I have a bunch of FPS already and I don't know if I want another. I am interested in the cross platform thing it advertises though, what other platforms are they talking about?

I forced myself to get good with the spy, you can really screw with the
enemy on open levels. What I do is camp on the first section of
Dustbowl and kill off any unsuspecting victim leaving the base.

They get so paranoid that once a team set up sentries around their
base to get rid of me. (which made it extremely difficult)

But it all depends on how you play, you have to think like the enemy and
screw around with them, I've even killed enemies in front of other players
to screw with them.

Some tips:
-Think like the enemy, act like the class you pick.
-Don't hide in the same spot after being caught.
-You can hide on top of enemy dispensers, no one looks there.
-If enemy engineer is hiding with sentry, distract him by capping point,
sapping his teleporter, or shooting some rounds into the distance then
take out the sentry.
-Medic is worst class to disguise as.
-Sometimes getting attention to yourself can help you get away, shoot your
enemies in one location and run to another area.
-You can also shoot enemies to attract them to you for a backstab.
-Watch snipers to see if they're scoping, if they have a shield, shoot
them a few times and they die quick.

Those are somethings that come to mind.

Remember, the more you scare them, the more they aim to kill you and not
stop your team, so do whatever you can to scare them.

Not true. When I spy check as Pyro I always shoot a blast at sentries, dispensers and other key points in the base. Also I've had spies try to sneak up on me as engineer when I'm at my dispenser and they tend to forget that if they get that close they lose their cloak. I shot one guy that seemed like he was trying to stand on my head. It was funny.

I should have a new computer by late July as the latest. Can't wait until I get a better one so I can play L4D2 and TF2.

You'd be the first because I have no trouble.
They normally, sweep around the dispenser, not on top.

Doesn't cross-platform play mean available on different consoles/PC? It's only available to PC as far as my knowledge goes.

I'm really good at catching spies. If one kills me a couple times I make it my mission to ruin his fun. Unless they're veterans I can usually tell when they're in disguise and if they're cloaked they have to really work to backstab me. Plus I hang around other people and wait for them to get killed and then chase the spy down, few escape unless another person distracts me.

Surprisingly enough I kill more spies with Engineer I think. Not sure if it's because I'm so confident with a sentry gun nearby or because the spies usually think an engineer is a softer target but it works. I now have a strange Southern Hospitality and I'm racking up kills.

Btw anyone thinking of playing spy a lot should remember that you give off air bubbles underwater(unless you sit still I think). I kill lots of them who don't realize it when I'm camping the water on 2Fort with my mini sentry.

@Chris- looks like they're being misleading, it's only cross platform with Windows and Mac, no other platforms.

@SJB- He's talking about Killing Floor not TF2.

I think he uses the alt code alt255, which creates a blank character. It's different from a space.
