I'd say it's unique. It's more like an isolated 19th century settlement sim.

Re: Steam, its games and our players.
You can now permanently remove games from your Steam account by logging into steam support ( https://help.steampowered.com/), select the game from the search function, and select I want to permanently remove this game from my account.

Losing your account just got a lot more dangerous.
Don't forget you can also just hide games:

The process is as simple as buying it again :^).
Serious note, why would Valve add another layer of 'hiding' a game that isn't permanent?

Re: Steam, its games and our players.
After adding all kinds of hoops to jump through because of accounts being compromised(usually by the user being an idiot) they go and add a way to totally destroy an account? I don't see the logic at all.

I guess I don't see any real value in permanent removal of a game from an account. There's plenty of titles I never plan on playing but bog down my chievo percentage, but I'm not going to permanently rid myself of them.
If an account is compromised, there's a few ways a user can recover it. There doesn't seem like any apparent way to recover any games lost from griefing.

I've been meaning to ask around, is FF VIII worth it on steam? My uncle and little sister have played it on PS1 but i haven't played it at all

I have played just about every Final Fantasy game, including tons of spin offs. After playing through the whole game, I could not name one redeeming thing about it.
Some people are really into it, though. I would say to find a way to play the first disc for a couple of hours and if you like it, go in for it. Such an divisive game is at least worth a try.

I was a big FF fan until I played this game. After that my confidence in FF was shot and besides 9, 11 and some handheld ones I've lost interest in the franchise.
@SFF- Lots of people claim it's the best FF game so you're probably better off just watching some gameplay videos to see if it looks appealing to you.

Steam has the magic booster which greatly helps early game with the stupid magic draw system as it gives each character 100 of most of the spells. You will still have to draw, mod, or craft the better ones in the late game but it saves a lot of time of frustration until that point.

With some mods it could be nice. The iOS graphics leave something to be desired.

Those graphics kill it for me. And as easy as it is to emulate on just about everything nowdays, there's no real point in buying it on steam in my opinion..

Re: Steam, its games and our players.
Well this Steam sale seems pretty underwhelming. I heard that they were no longer doing Daily Deals and Flash Sales because of the new refund policy. That Valve didn't want the hassle of people refunding games and then repurchasing them for special, limited time offers. Looks like this might be true.

I haven't heard of them going back on the decision so yeah it must be in effect.
If anyone wants to see a good list of everything on sale click here-
https://steamdb.info/sales/?displayO...tegory=0&cc=us
It's much better than navigating all those windows on Steam.
Also, you earn cards by exploring the queue. You can get 3 cards a day. If anyone does it and doesn't want the cards I'm still taking any extras.

After watching Wolf stream it, I decided to buy Undertale. This increases my Steam library to... six.

Re: Steam, its games and our players.
I would consider the fact that I only bought 4 games for myself this year compared to last year where I bought around 16 games for myself a pretty underwhelming sale.
With gifts included I've spent less than a third of what I did last year yet my Wishlist is at least twice as large.

Re: Steam, its games and our players.
Tropico is. Ask Db for a better synopsis on it. I've only got to play the first one, and IV on a controller for 360. Not the best ways of playing.
Star Wars: Republic Commando any good?

If you like games like Sim City you should enjoy it. It's like a well made scenario with lots of content. I didn't play 5 because I heard it's almost the same as 4 so if you wanna save money just go for that.

Yes. Aside from Battlefront 2, it is one of the only good prequel games.
