re: Marvel vs. Capcom 3 discussion!
Why did they have to go and mess up the music from MvC2? I already hated the fact that MvC3 doesn't have any jazzy music to it. Also, how are the songs for individual characters going to work? Are there stages set for all characters and their song plays in the stage or does the music change as they are tagged in mid battle?

I'd assume the music would be a stage-based affair, as each character is associated with a stage, and so associating the music with the character means it will be associated with the stage.
No jazz? Yeah, if I had no real desire to play this game before...
Not that I could play it even if I wanted to.

They said MvC3 has a rediculous amount of songs in game, it's most likely they're
adding the MvC2 music too. But I don't hear anything wrong the remixes.
The music starts as the theme of the primary character of the second players team,
when a character is knocked out, the theme of the character that comes out then plays.

Hate lag? MvC3 has a feature to simulate Internet Lag while training:
More games need this feature.

Am I the only one who finds it concerning that they have added an Internet Lag simulator for training?
I wonder how bad the lag is going to be with live opponents.

They said the netcode is superior to SSFIV and I didn't have any complaints.

Still. You can't say you don't find it odd they felt the need to put such a feature in. I suppose we will have to wait and see, but until I do it definitely concerns me for how good the net play will be.

Practicing something that will probably happen during a real game isn't helpful? I find it odd that you find it odd. Lag happens when you play online as far as I know for every game involving more than one party.

Although lag is a typical part of online play, It worries me that this may mean it will be more frequent than it has in the past and it is just a way of preparing you for it. I hope I am wrong but it is not something you typically think of for a feature set of a game.

I don't feel like it's a subtle suggestion that the game will suffer more than usual lag. I see it as being proactive towards an uncontrollable flaw that happens with online gaming by giving you the opportunity to practice with simulated lag.

I honestly hope you are right. Until it is released I will personally be skeptical.

re: Marvel vs. Capcom 3 discussion!
It's a stupid feature because, a) lag isn't consistent, therefore what is the point? b) lag should be on it's way out, not made into something we should all be expected to live with c) alot of games now have lag correction built in, why doesnt MVC3?

re: Marvel vs. Capcom 3 discussion!
Yeah I see this as a way to lessen the impact of expected lag on their part. I did hear SF4 had very little lag, why would Capcom feel the need to add this? I bet they're doing something to save some money on the mulitplayer part, cutting corners and all that.

The roster seems pretty balanced to me, the only character that stands out as broken in my
eyes is Dante, but everyone else seems balanced.

It's because of his insane combos, he may be the new Sentinel.

What list are we talking about here? The only list I see is the one listing how many hit points each character has. If there's another list I missed, could someone point me in the right direction?

That a list of Dante's moves. So what? That doesn't mean he is packing in power. 12 hit combo by Dante will probably be as strong as a 3 hit combo by The Hulk.

That's extreme versitility, think about how much he can do.
It's not about the damage, but the moves he has.

re: Marvel vs. Capcom 3 discussion!
Again, where is the roster list that ranks them from best to worst that makes you say he's so far down the tier? That's what I originally asked for and you instead game me a list of his moves. Comparing Dante to Sentinel is not something I would do nor does it make sense to even do so. Sentinel has a shorter list of moves but you can pretty much connect them all together in some way or form. Add the power behind his punches, and that more than makes up for the over 9000! different combos Dante can do. To top it off, Sentinel has super armor that requires two hits to stun him. Dante is NOT the new Sentinel.
