Marvel vs. Capcom 3 discussion!

After a decade of demand, the legendary 3 on 3 combat returns in Marvel vs.
Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds to be released in Spring 2011.

Marvel characters Wolverine, Iron Man and Hulk return.
While on the Capcom team, Morrigan and Ryu return.

However, Resident Evil character Chris Redfield is the first newcomer announced.

Hopefully previous attemps Dante and Pheonix Wright may make an appearance.
All I'd like to see is Frank West and Viewtiful Joe back in Capcom vs.

I must have missed that part...I love playing at the arcades. It brings more to the match when you actually spend money to get a rematch.

Also, I'm starting to think I'm the only one who doesn't like MvC2 who is a huge fan of the 2d fighter genre. It reminds me of a mugen game, most of the sprites are from old games (children of the atom etc).

Xmen vs Street fighter I liked a lot better. To be far, the only version I have played is the PS3 re-release. I really think it sucks.

On the bright side they included Chris Redfield. If they throw in Ace Attorney I might have to take back my comments.

They wont do it right, it will lose it's asthetic. If they take a page from nintendo and how thay handle punch-out wii, then it might be cool, but i doubt they will.

I'd like to seeX, Zero and Sigma come into the roster. I didn't really like DMC and I never played whatever game Frank West came out in...something with zombies right? Dante would be a good character for this game though. The gun and sword combo is somthing that would give him some interesting combos. West sounds like he would be a bit too much like Jill. Besides isn't Leon jumping on board?

Frank is VERY different from Jill.
Thay have almost nothing in common aside from summoning zombies.

I don't know about Leon if Chris is in.
Leon is the better character of the 2, in my opinion of course.

I'd like to see Strider in 3D, that would be awesome.

You can't have Barry without Jill, it never works.
Just look at Gaiden.

But look at the silhouettes:

6 is easily Felicia
7 looks like Frank West (Yes)
8 could be Crimson Viper
9. Chun Li
10. Tough one between Wesker or Dante. (Hopefully Dante)

Not a fair example. Gaiden didn't have voice overs.

Still, before I die, I want to see Barry in one other game.

Well it's obviously not Wesker, as the new Wesker wouldn't wear that kind of coat. Just not signature. Look how far the collar juts out.

Wesker would be awesome in a game like this, but they would have to tone down the awesome, just like they're gonna have to tone down CHRIS REDFIELD'S BICEPS, otherwise the game will break(probably why they didn't add Barry in).
I agree with steven, I'm not liking the 3d graphics(2.5 if it makes you happy). It just doesn't seem right. Marvel needs to buy the right to use Nemesis in this game, because a demon-looking wizard thing would just add the the comic-book awesome that's all-ready there.

Well The main chars I use in MVc2 are Felicia, psylock, Ken, jill, strider, ryu, and akuma. I also want an option for amount of fighters..Simul co-op maybe? ((that way my little sis and I could play at the same time. My only problem with MVc2 was not having a single fighter option.. I missed the classic Arcade feel of one on one combat^^. I enjoy 3-3 combat, but would like a 2-2 or 1-1 option available.

oh yeah^^ I think 10 is gonan end up bieng Wesker, but id liek Dante to appear^^.

What about Guy, Cody and Hagger from the Final Fight series? Or how's about Ryu....the other Ryu from Breath of Fire. The Snow Bros, Viewtiful Joe and freakin Kratos from GoW. There are tons of plausible candidates for this new installment of Marvel vs Capcom.
