Except, you know, it's in 3D, with the ability to move on the Z-axis as well.
When you fight, you have a team of two, you only play as one, save for super attacks, and you could switch who was fighting after a round.

There's plenty more different, why don't you judge it off of more than a few fuzzy screenshots from Google Images?
Watch some videos, go play it, I don't know.

My entire point is that the popularity of a game and the quality of a game are not necessarily related in any way.
I mean look at all the people who think Halo is the greatest game ever invented, and that there were no FPS's before Halo.
It's not that Halo is a particularly bad game, but it is rather... mediocre, yet look how well it sells.

But that's just your opinion. Maybe it's better than you think and the sales only back that up? I know I've enjoyed the hell out of all of them, besides Halo wars because I never tried it. People like to trash Halo but imo it deserves all the accolades it gets because it does what a game should do - be fun and keep improving.

part one: Evil zone was a fun fighter..made fun of a lot of anime.. but wasn't capcom so.. probably doesn't fit.. anyway id heard of that Rival schools game but never played it.. (was still hooked to Marvel super heroes and Darkstalkers fo rmy saturn^^)

part two: Halo was just another scifi shooter, was fun to play split screen with dad, and it was okay. I prefer doom and My saturn version of quake^^

-sighs- its a bummer if Ken or Strider don't make it, cause strider is freaking brilliant character wise.

And this is probably completely pointless or unrelated completely, but the conversation made me think of it..
Any idea if we will get another Gem or puzzle fighter game at some point? I know SPF2turbo was re released.. but a new game with a bunch of characters could be fun^^.. and I kinda like the chibi characters^^

While no word has been out about the Megaman who will represent MvC3, on the Internet
Movie Database, a 12 year old actor Zachary Gordon is listed for Megaman, but not which
one, I'm guessing that it's either EXE or Original because they were both young.

Quality of a game is subjective, I played Halo, I disliked it, so as far as I am concerned it was mediocre. Fun with a friend, but alone that game was lame.
I trash talk it because I think it sucks, you defend it because you think it is good. This is going nowhere, nor will it ever end up anywhere. I'm not changing my opinion, you aren't changing yours.
Back on topic now:
I don't like the idea of three dimensional characters on a two dimensional plane, never have.
Also, is it just me, or does everyone look like they are made of plastic?

I never found anything wrong with 2.5D like in SSBB or SSFIV, I think it's more modern than
the 2D sprites they used in SFIII. But I guess everyone is a critic.

I still like it. I just prefer the 2D on 2D. The characters look like plastic like Demon said.

It looks ok to me. I think the cell shading/black outline is whats making the characters kinda stand out of the picture.

The game still looks great. I'm sure this little detail won't take away from the fun factor and we'll soon get used to the graphics.

I think we'll all get used to the graphics, remember how much outrage was against Street
Fighter being in 3D? Yet we grew into loving the new artstyle.

I've been reading the ESRB review of MvC3, does this sound a bit like something Frank West
would say? (Or Deadpool might say to Frank)

I thought they looked like action figures actually.. only fully animated and more awesome^^ lolz. In fact they could make action figures that look just like that and Id get them If I could find them.. the 3d effect is cool and im glad the back ground has a 3d effect too at parts. Over all the game looks awesome, argument about DLC or not, this is gonna be a sweet game^^

A user at IGN claiming he's a main at Capcom talks about MvC3:
More Marvel Vs Capcom 3 News - IGN Boards

He claims that this weekend Capcom is announcing 2 new characters on Spikes VGA, and that
2 more will be announced at Jump Fiesta.

I'm going to assume they're announcing Frank West at the VGA because his popularity among
American gamers and Megaman and Jump because it's his anniversary.

For Marvel, he says that it's almost a complete mystery aside from Storm, who he believes will
be announced at Jump Fiesta.

For the rest of Capcom he mentions Red Arrmer, Haggar, Hskin-Ko, Crimson Viper, and
Megaman Volnutt are all rumored, but that brings the total to 6. I honestly think the last Street
Fighter character will be Bison if you ask me.

As for deconfirmed characters, he says Megaman EXE and Roll aren't in.

For DLC, he mentions the 6 top characters are:

Marvel:
Ghost Rider
Blade
Abomination

Capcom:
Cammy
Captain Commando
Roll

He finally mentions that you can only get Jill and Shuma if you get the Special Edition, meaning
that there will be no extra DLC later where they cost money.

I don't know how they'd make Abomination different from the Hulk.

But I don't know anything about this guy so, this could be fake.

If that's true then it's more evidence that Capcom is all about the money and to hell with it's fans/customers. But, I think they'll offer them as DLC a couple months after release so the preorder fools can feel special for a while.
