id love to join in on that as well.. You guys are im guessing MVC2 pros, and whle I have been practicing, I sitll cant beat MVC2 story mode.. -sigh- I sppose I migh tjust suck at fighters, but hey are so much dam fun now^^.
Also.. dont kill me but, I dont know who Frank west is realy, besides the fact he killedsome zombies in a mall or something. But I acknowledge hs palce among the adult Gamers already. his fan base is pretty big so fast. (translation: hes the new guy people love toss him in while they see him as awesome!)
but now for some odd questions, you guys have played a lot of fighters right, well honestly, for the following chars, how well do you think they would do in a MVC3 like scenario?
Link from the Legend of zelda (Not smash bros, but mostly soul calibur two version.)
Simon Belmont : Castelvania one. (never go t my hands on legends so -shrug-)
Ryo: the guy form shenmu (Now thers fan base.. he may be form a mostly brawler game but still.. just cuase your form a brawler doesn't mean your a fighting game class character)
ryu hyabasa: Ninja gaiden (Yeah I knwo hes Dead or alive and Xbox, so please dont bother with the, woudl never happen lines but how well do you think he would do honestly?)
the characters above are non capcom games obviously, but how do you think they would do?

Also what weird strange character that could show up, who probably wont, that you think would do amazing with the cast of characters already available. Capcom and Marvel have Many amazingly awesome one or two shot characters that only rabbid or devoted fans would know or recognise. So if possible see if you can include a game link, if that character's game is here.
Oh and just for fun, what non capcom or non marvel character would you love to see in this kinda game?

I still cant beat that last version of the boss in story mode for MvC2 besides one or two times I think I beat him.

James, they "said" they were going to add more than 40 characters. They said Duke Nukem: Forever was going to come out 10 years ago. They said MechWarrior was going to get a reboot. They said that Freelancer 2 was coming out. There was word of Starcraft:Ghost. Fallout 3 was originally suppose to be similar to the first 2. Too Human was a PS1 game, that never happened.
These are just a few exaples, shall I continue?

The game doesnt come out until March though so I doubt they will announce all the characters now.

Capcom said they're announcing at least characters per month, and they said over 40
characters are in the final game, so I'm going to say 42 characters is the safe number.
Which means 16 more characters to be announced.

That means that they might do this:
Nov: 4
Dec: 4
Jan: 2 or 4
Feb: 2 or 4
March: 2

Or:
Nov: 2
Dec: 2-6
Jan: 2
Feb: 2
March: 2

But I'm not sure what they have planned.

If I'm not mistaken, on Nov. 15, Capcom is having a press conference where they plan to
announce several games and maybe some MvC3 stuff.

December has the Jump Festa and January has the Consumer Electonics Show.

So we just have to be patient.

I agree that all we can do is wait, same with smash brothers, but I think most of the chars and such will be announced at the events as always. I wish ths game was beign revealed liek smash bros brawl was, That was awesome listenign to music and looking at characters in and now developed^^. Watching the site and game grow was seriously awesome^^

I guess my first date was right, today they announced 2 more characters into the
roster, She-Hulk from Hulk Comics and Zero from Mega Man X:

She-Hulk looks like she's a runner/grappler like El Fuerte in SFIV:

He did, but he wanted the Megaman Zero version.
I prefer the X version myself.

DLC Characters, Jill Valentine and Shuma Gorath confirmed:
Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds Collector's Edition for Playstation 3 | GameStop

But they are only available if you get the special edition.

Edit: While not officially confirmed, GameStop says the release date is 2/15/2011

Edit: Edit: This means that the more recent list is disconfirmed as well.
But we may still get some Howard the Duck, they keep hinting he's in.
And some Frank West too.
