Xpadder not working - with (PC) Mass Effect 3

Yo - Retro Uprising!

I thought I would post my this issue here that I'm having with xpadder; not working for Mass Effect 3 (PC).

The controller I am using is an xbox360 joypad - Im using windows 7 64bit and also use a PC tablet only as my "mouse" interface.

360 controller works fine with other games - When Mass Effect is booted up the controller just will not function as a mouse or and other button!

I thought this might have something to do with drivers, but everything is up-to-date. Unplugged mouse and just used xpadder (thinking there might be a conflict) but this was futile...

Any idea for the solution peeps?

Welcome to RU Tempa. It seems Bioware doesn't include controller support for Mass Effect games.

I have no idea why they would do this when they make console versions anyways, seems incredibly lazy. Looks like people have been asking for it since ME1 and they aren't listening. You'll have to wait for some third party to make it work.

Well, wait a minute, Xpadder just hits keys on the keyboard, Moss Affex 3 would have now way of knowing it was'nt a keyboard and mouse.

I don't know much about it. People in that topic seem to say that there's zero control support and even xpadder won't work.

I found a solution in the end, that at-least allows me to use the xbox controller with ME£.
believe me I did some extensive fact finding to arrive at this -o-so-simple-method
