Is it though? Just because you DL'd a game for one system, does that mean you should be able to play it on every new system for the rest of your life? Nintendo still needs to pay for the service. Besides that if you already paid for a game, it's only a dollar to port it over, so you need to re-purchase it at 80% off. Not to say that I like the idea, but I don't think this is just simply a cash grab.
Re: Shin Megami Tensai X Fire Emblem Announced for WiiU
Yeah, I agree with Tenser. Which is why when I get a WiiU (eventually!) I'll keep my Wii for the VC stuff I already have there and only buy new stuff on WiiU. I don't want to have to pay for games multiple times on the same company's consoles.
Re: Shin Megami Tensai X Fire Emblem Announced for WiiU
Okay so there is apparently some bad information. You will not need to re-buy any games if you do not want, you will be able to play your Wii VC games on your WiiU. However you may choose to upgrade your game, at 20% it's original cost, this includes adding save states, gamepad play, and Wii-Univers integration.
Re: Shin Megami Tensai X Fire Emblem Announced for WiiU
True, but there's nothing quite like the feeling of playing the game on the television set in your bedroom / front room. Especially the feeling of owning the game is awesome. I love this site as much as the next Kong but you can't tell me you don't enjoy that feeling.
