The wife is French so I am cheering for Montreal. She's working so I might be able to get away with cigars in the house. Otherwise gotta light the wood stove and get some heat in garage.

Beer one and the kick off aint for another 5 hours.

I have basic Bell satellite and the only channel it's on is TSN which I don't get. I have to stream it from europe to watch it. Dang my cheapness. It should have been on CBS. Anyone know anything on this? I had to do the same thing for some hockey games last year.

Naw I don't get that either. It sucks cause I'm in the bush and pay just to get 40 gig a month for internet (microwave high speed). I will use probably 500 meg to a gig just to watch. Still cheaper than 'renting' the channel.

But like hockey, I follow it too closely.

To all you Blue Blood Americans, Team USA will be facing tournament favorites, Mexico, in the Gold Cup Finals at the Rose Bowl this Saturday at 8:00 PM central. In 2009, Mexico beat the US 5-0 in the final in New Jersey. Hopefully we'll get to see a real game instead of another beating.

Mexico won 4-2 right? We were having a barbeque at my house and my aunt was watching it so I saw the ending.

Women's USA Team is in the finals against Japan for the World Cup. It's on Sunday at 2:00 Eastern Time for anyone who wants to watch it. Reason I'm mentioning this is because highlights of USA vs Brazil a few days ago have been playing all weekend everywhere

I saw it. Great match. It was a heart breaker for the US, but a rush of joy for a devastated country. Good job Japan!

I saw it was 0-0 at halftime, so I watched the baseball game rather than the soccer game

Congrats Japan! They probably needed it more than USA did, but it's still sad for the USA giving how far they came (but that's the same for Japan).

I think that you guys are right: but with a twist. Soccer should be called football (because you mainly use your foot) and football should be called soccer (because you "sock" the man trying to get the ball past you.)

Yeah, the yanks don't watch too much football. Mostly I'll just talk with a few select individuals about it in private. I'm a red devil fan, but I'm more into the Mexican league Club America.
