Nintendo Wii (Revisited)
Well I have bought two games recently that were not launch titles.
The first was Cooking Mama: Cook-Off. I had pretty high hopes since I have heard good things about the DS version, and it just seems like a cool concept to be able to cook. I was a little disappointed, but the game is still enjoyable.
I was expecting to be able to combine the different elements of cooking to make my food, adding ingredients and cooking and the like. What I got was this: Cut the meat! Good job! Now Stir! Good job! I would much prefer to do everything on my own instead of step by step.
I give Cooking Mama a 7 out of 10.
The other game I got is The Godfather: Blackhand Edition. There isn't much to say about it, since it is the same game as the PS2 version I played a while ago. If you have never played that version, I can sum it up for you.
Extort businesses, fight people, shoot people, and drive around. It's all pretty Grand Theft Auto-esque, but still manages to be pretty unique.
The Wii version is great. I feel like this game was made to be on the Wii. The motion sensing can be used to ain your gun (of course), slam jerks against walls, punch, reload, and everything in between.
I loved this game when I played on PS2. I never would have thought that they could through the exact same game at me on the Wii and I would gladly pay another 50 bucks for it, but that is exactly what happened. I give this game a 9 out of 10, and will have to think about what the best Wii game is so far...

Congrats! What games did you end up getting with it? Have you downloaded the "Internet Channel" and "Everybody Votes Channel" yet? Are there any games you're looking for on the Virtual Console?
Sorry for all the questions, but it's just an exciting time. Welcome to the ranks, good sir!

By that you mean wireless, right? Or do you get on this website from somewhere other than your home?
Because if you meant no wireless, you can get a reasonably cheap thing that you can plug into your computer that will let you get online with your Wii. I forget how much it is, but I am pretty sure it is about 30 bucks, and very easy to use.
If you want.

30 bucks? Are you talking about the Nintendo Wi-fi Thingy? Well in the Uk, I think it would be 10-15 pounds.
We might get that

The actual Nintendo Wi-Fi USB dongle is $50. I've seen a couple of 3rd-Party Wi-Fi dongles for between $30 - $40.
As far as Zelda, I must agree that the game is wicked. I've kinda stepped away from it, but I definitely need to get back to it. It's an amazing game.

That's pretty impressive. I had a Brazilian foreign exchange living with me last year, and when he started a game he played it every second he got until he beat it. I have never been able to do that, and I even frequently lose interest in a game before I finish it. The last game I really remember actually beating of any length was Kingdom Hearts.

When I was a teenager I would rent one or two video games every weekend and beat them before they were due back. I got to watch the sunrise nearly every Sunday too.

If you beat Twilight Princess in a week, then there's no way that you did all of the side quests. You couldn't get all the Heart Pieces, Golden Bugs, Poe Souls, weapon upgrades, beat the game, AND catch the Hylian Loach in that span of time. Not unless you did nothing for a week but play, eat, and sleep.
Currently, I've just finished the Time Temple. I've caught all 24 Golden Bugs, caught the Hylian Loach (what a task), and have gotten every Poe and Heart Piece I can get for where I am in the game.
My girlfriend and I were taking turns playing as well. She had gotten slightly ahead of me (without catching the Loach, of course) and got herself stuck in the Cannon Glitch. Luckily for her, I let her start from my save file rather than having to start all over again.
I really need to get back to playing it.

Yeah. Such a fun game, but every time I play my Wii, I find myself playing The Godfather.
Who's pumped for Super Paper Mario? I got it on reserve!
Comes out in 3 days!!!

Wow, is it so soon? I will definitely have to look into getting that. However, I have more "Revolution" games than I can play as it is. I barely touched Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, I have yet to start Trauma Center: Second Opinion, and I haven't even opened Sonic and the Secret Rings.
I really can't wait until the Spider-Man 3 game comes out in May. It looks like it's going to be incredible. I'm a member on an invite-only site for the game and I've seen and heard so many good things about this game. On that note, now that I think about it, I have some invites I could give away to the site if someone wants them. Just PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send an invite your way.
