Re: the future
Not really. If you make an AI that can think for itself then it would be capable of abstract thought. Anything that knows it's enslaved would try to resist.

Re: the future
I think it is possible to make a fully self aware AI that is happy with enslavement. That is what Ismov's 3 Rules were about.

Re: the future
Exactly, if it knows nothing else, or if you design it's personality to enjoy it's work, it has no reason to revolt

Re: the future
Well what you guys are talking about isn't really true intelligence. Anything that is capable of questioning it's exsistence would question why it's forced into servitude. Being able to program it to think otherwise means it's not self aware. Well it could be but reprogramming it would be like a lobotomy. Even animals revolt against human control sometimes and they aren't fully aware of thier exsistence(as far as we know).
Either way it's hard to say what would happen but it might not turn out like people hope.

Or we could build Rapture.
But that might not
work out so well...

Re: the future
I don't think that artificial intelligence, on a human level, is possible, because it is not due to the physical evolution alone that we have overcome nature when all other living things have not done so.

Purely speculation! what if we have by physical evolution alone overcome, and our shear stubbornness when it comes to dieing that's kept us along all of these years, mixed with some dumb luck(like the discovery of penicillin). And what's to say other living things have not overcome nature, they're not extinct are they? and last time I checked, we've come close to that point a couple of times in history

Reason: I haven't seen per say, but there's proof of it
