Sorry about derailing my own topic.

But on topic, King Dedede has some dangerously safe moves.
His down air for example, has range, does damage, and doesn't have much lag.

Relentlessness is not a bad thing, Seahawk. It keeps you from getting wiped out and teaches the overconfident a lesson they will never forget.

Well, mine shuts down on me after an extended period, forcing me to have a fan on at all times for long sessions. If it's not reading the disks, you may need to do one of two things. Either replace the Wii or get a resurfacer and see if the disks need major cleaning.

Mine is only partially broken (Won't play SSBB or Metroid Prime Trilogy)
Why is yours broken? If its because of SSBB, they will repair it for free.

Here are my suggestions...
1: Use a Wii Lens Cleaner
2: Use a can of compressed air to blow dust out from inside the wii.

Try Wal-Mart, or Shopko, it should be in the electronics section, because its usually used to clean keyboards.

Also worth mentioning is you should be careful with canned air. If you hold it at an angle it will get very cold and possibly damage what you're trying to clean. Hold the can upright and use short bursts. I know this is all in the directions but just in case.

Yeah I'd skip the compressed air part when dealing with your wii, besides that I cant really see how dust would ever be a problem with the wii.

The dust would cover the lens of the Wii, causing it to not read discs

This happened to me last year. One day the disk drive started making an extra buzzing noise in addition to the normal motor noise.

Then it just went kaput, and wouldn't read disks, the motor would turn on and the disk would spin, but no successful read. Everything else worked, all my downloaded games were still playable. I think the summer heat killed the laser.

I think your laser is toasted, you should just arrange a repair with Nintendo online, it cost me ~80 dollars, shipping included. I got it back in about 10 days.

That sounds like what happened to me.
That'll be a pain to ship it cross state.

It's not really, Nintendo has the option of including shipping in the bill, then you just print out a Fedex sticker, put the Wii in a box and take it to any Fedex place, and it's gone. It's actually pretty convenient.

Yeah, I have done that about 3 times with my DS, all for free. (Granted, it was still under warranty.)
How long ago did you buy your Wii?
