My prediction is Lesnar is going to lose to Mir again, and within 18 months leave the sport of MMA.
|
i think he will beat mir this time, mir looked sharp against big nog but, lesners game is consistently improving, i think the raw power of lesner will be the deciding factor, keep in mind lesner was an all-american wrestling champ. lesner will lose if he is overly cautious though, and that might happen.

It is a toss up, and I think it will be one hell of a fight. Yeah his power will be a huge factor just because of his wrestling skills. Mir is not as good as Randy in that aspect and Lesnar should take advantage like the first fight. Randy was able to counter his wrestling/clinch pretty easily but Lesnar can go all out with Mir.
Wanna make a friendly bet of some sort, I get Mir, you get Lesnar. Just to make it interesting?

Re: MMA
sure, im in for a freindly bet, avatars at dawn? even though coutour lost,i was very impressed with his performance and sportsmanship, and his quote "hes just too damn big" was spot on. whatever you want to make for a bet is good, maybe the winner gets to make a thread about the loser and everyone is free to unload a ton of insults in it without any infractions, that could be funny.
also here is my main website to get my mma news and stuff, www.cagepotato.com maybe youve heared of it?

I would go with your predictions. But I think I am going to be bold and say: Wandy, Kongo, Cro-Cop, Saunders, Fisher, and Davis.
The turnout will probably your line up but I see something in Saunders, and Kongo in this go around.

Re: MMA
its a good thing our bet was never finalized doj.
great night of fights, a few (drunken vague) thoughts:
gsp is the best pound for pound fighter in the world
brock is a serious douchbag, but man does he ever back it up
i would have givin the decision to belcher
bisping is not nearly as good as i thought he was, and hendos still got it
this event i had been looking forward to for months i couldnt even watch live cause i was in rome, but i dl'd it as soon as i got back in the door

Moved this to chat since it's not junk or spam ridden. If anyone has an issue with that please let me know.
Btw Brock is still the man and the rest of the UFC better get ready, he's gonna bring the pain.

Re: MMA
I'd love to see them try. I am a huge brock fan but I am not against him losing, if someone has the skills then they need to step up and knock him out before he hulks out on another good fighter(mir).

Re: MMA
@Cassidy~yeah it's good you were gone, I would of lost horribly. But I don't know if silva or gsp could get with lesnar. I do believe Fedor could beat him.
After Lesnars win I dont know of any UFC fighters who can beat him. I think Valasquez, or Kongo, or maybe even Carwin could have a chance but I guess we will see. Lesnar did prove his skills.
Fedor will be in the UFC soon enough.(I Hope) Personally I feel Alexsander Emelienenko vs Lesnar would be a great fight.
Dudebro is right, someone needs to knock him out before he hulks someone again. His skills are very limited but the skills he has are very strong.

Re: MMA
i think if gsp or silva fought a really smart fight, they may be able to avoid being taken down and possibly earn a descion, brock is still quite inexperienced. all brock really has is power and rage. wouldnt be suprised either way though, another neat fight would be machida. of course these fights will obviously never happen. carwin and valasquez would be interesting, but kongos lack of a ground game would certainly be his demise.
did you hear fedor is now opponentless for his next match? barnette got caught juicing again, someone call petruzelli.

I did not know this until you said something, I just looked it up and damn.....that really sucks. I have been waiting for this fight for years. That really makes me angry. I dont understand why he would screw up the biggest oppurtunity he has ever had. I am speechless...besides the foul language I am thinking right now!
It's a sad day in the MMA world.

People keeps saying stuff like this but he is an accomplished athlete. It may not be jujitsu training but it still counts.

I didn't double check all the facts but I know he's a very successful champion. Seems like his WWF/WWE days cloud peoples perception of his ability. He's a monster of a man with a lot of grappling experience.

Re: MMA
yes, for sure db, the problem is that there too many aspects to the game now, like you said hes shown little to no bjj, and his striking is not good, so far his strength has made up for this, but he really needs to round out his skill set, at this point hes very sloppy.

Re: MMA
Well I can assure you he is working on his skills. From everything I've heard/read Brock is very focused and driven. He already has excellent grappling skills(which means a really good ground game) and the strength to power out of most holds. Also he has a huge melon that can take a lot of punishment. He just needs to work on his overconfidence and get more experience. The man should be feared and respected not overlooked and made light of.

his grappling skills are not good, his wresltling is mostly his strenght, but i agree hes not to be taken lightly, he is after all an absolute animal, but i wanna see him win another 5 in a row.
