Re: How did you find Retrouprising?
Joined EVG in 06 I think, had heard about RU from almost the beginning of my time over there. Had actually signed up for RU in 07 or early 08, but didn't dive in. A couple of weeks ago, Tenser made the suggestion that I should check things out over here. I'll immediately give RU credit on the better game selection, the high score system, and the feistiness of the forums.

Re: How did you find Retrouprising?
I was searching for gaming sites while at school one day. 90% of the websites were blocked, and I happened to come across RU. That was almost 3 months ago haha.

Re: How did you find Retrouprising?
About 2 years ago my job required sitting for 12 hours. I got bored and wanted to look for a game site. I found a few but they were always shared with other co-workers and they would end up being blocked after about a week. I eventually found onVGP.com and it is all history from there. Thinking back on it...two years....lots of good times.

Re: How did you find Retrouprising?
I was desperate to find nes games online 2 or 3 years after our nes got thrown out, and was googleing all sorts of stuff like free nes and nes games free then I brought nes games we still had upstairs and googled some of the games and then I googled Smash T.V. and EVG came up so I played as a guest for two months then made and account to try to get help with a lost game, then eventually ended up taking part in the forums, after that I left, somehow forgetting about the site again, I was gone for 2 years or so then I was doing some research on dreamcast and found things on a new system, somehow I ended up finding a top 10 easiest bosses video on youtube, and wanted others opinions, so I remembered EVG and went back and created a top 5 hardest bosses ever on a new acount called Cam3ron36 losing my old account, I heard a lot of talk about RU and Jim5cents annoyed me so I retreated to ru to escape his jerkish coments, of course I still go to evg.

Memories can never be replaced. Only forgotten...which reminds me of the POW/MIA slogan.
We will never forget.

I didn't say you had to forget the old memories. It's not like you're going to run out of space, unless you're an android or something.

Re: How did you find Retrouprising?
I know some people here have been here from the start, but I was wondering were everyone else came from. I found RU while looking for Metroid 2: Return of Samus online, and found that I could play it here, because at the time I didn't have any way to get an emulator.

Re: How did you find Retrouprising?
Well, I used to watch my brother play games on onVGP all the time, and one day (after it became retrouprising)I decided that I wanted to have an account. And now I am here.

Who is your brother? It's been a long while since there has been a reference to ol' onVGP.

Re: How did you find Retrouprising?
I just got lucky. but am I ever glad I found it. I was Googling for an Earthbound ROM, nowhere could I find it. I was going through pages, and I saw that the summary underneath retrouprising.com said something about Earthbound Zero and the word "free". Since I was planning on looking for that next, I took the chance and wound up on Earthbound Zero. After playing it a couple days, my file was lost. So I created an account to ask Kong why. He said it was because anyone could delete my file since I was a guest then. So I started playing Earthbound Zero since. Then I bought an Earthbound game. Then Kong helped me get a Mother 3 ROM. So I'm planning on staying. Even if I don't play most of the other games on this site.
So like I said before, it was just a matter of luck, and good timing.
