Arrrghh!! I suspected this would be the result, I just always loved watching him fight because someday he was gonna loose. I think Rumble was gonna be the guy too.

Business like his rely on public opinion. If he allowed his fighters to be coked up during matches and commit crimes in their off time then his sales would plummet. People want these guys held to a high standard, not everyone wants to watch bum fights.

Just the opposite, you wait to see how much they are going to hype up his return. Nobody is going to stop watching The UFC because the fighters have criminal tendencies.
The only thing I could see is if Dana is fed up on a personal level, this is the second time bones has single handedly ruined huge PPV, then he might fire him, I can't realistically see that happening though.

He's just putting on a face, everywhere I look I see comments commending the UFCs actions. The legal repercussions would prevent him from fighting anyway, so they are taking advantage too look like good guys. "Suspended indefinitely" mean suspended until he is able to fight again.

Re: Mma
Obviously he'd rather keep him, but at least he doesn't do bullshit or try to skirt the lines. Save face or whatever.

Re: Mma
Rip Corey Hill. He's not famous today so much, but he was a houshold name to mma fans 6 or 7 years ago. Most famous for his Anderson silva style leg break, at fight for the troops over in Afghanistan. All going by memory here, so I might be way off.
Edit, apparently he is not dead, good job fact checking UFC...

Re: Mma
Stuff like this gets old:
Ronda Rousey and Floyd Mayweather Need To Fight | FOX Sports
Aside from that type of stuff, I really don't have a specific grudge against her, she's just kinda got an immature attitude that's not really becoming of her. I've got a very love hate attitude towards people who trash talk, people like her, Jon Jones, Josh Koscheck... they don't do it right. Then you got guys like Connor Macgregor, Cheal Sonnon, Daniel Cormier... these guys do it and I love it.
I mean if someone told me they disliked her, I wouldn't bat an eye.

After reading her AMA, I think shes alright.
Her point about how she has no control over how the media presents her resounded with me.

I like the quote about being called masculine or w.e. She basically said not every girl is built like a fuck toy and every muscle in her body has a purpose, or something. Either way it was cool and kinda hot.

Nick Diaz is banned from competition for 5 years because he tested positive for weed, Anderson Silva got a 1 year ban for testing positive for steroids, unbelievable.

Re: Mma
There should be no penalty for weed. What is it supposed to enhance? It's like taking a shot of booze before a fight, that's legal right?

The article I read said it was his third offense since 2007
Also while not drug offenses he got busted not paying his taxes for years and has several incidents posts fights the commission probably doesn't want to deal with anymore. He's a known problem in the mma world

Re: Mma
I know nothing about this but I'm assuming
He gets paid very well to fight
Has few career options outside of MMA
He had a warning that a third failed test would end his career
Knew he would be tested
And still he took that risk for weed! Yes, the MMA shouldn't care if he smokes since it's a personal choice that has nothing to do with his job, but still, how does someone take that big of risk to get stoned. Just get drunk or do something that doesn't stay in your system. I don't get how people take that big of a risk just to get stoned.
Wait, is being in the MMA a good job? How much do they get paid to have the crap beat out of them? How many days a year do they have to fight? Maybe being fired isn't so bad.
