Right, the crust serves as a tool to get the toppings into your mouth, nothing more.

Don't tell me you two are the type of people who don't eat the crust.
I think it looks awesome, if not a little too cheesy. Was there any meat on it besides pepperoni?

Re: Food Thread
Steak 3 the first 3 nights, then hotdogs and tonight was grilled cheese with some cajun chicken thrown in for good measure. Also various veggies and stuff, and blue cheese stuffed olives... yummy.
The steak is my favorite so far. You?

Re: Food Thread
Easy no cook summer recipes to impress the ladies.
1.
Chop figs and avocado and mix together.
Optional mix in chopped pistachio nuts and dried cranberries.
Get kale or collard greens or similar dark green leaf.
Chop leaf mix all together for salad or use leaf whole wrap the mix in the leaf like a burrito.
Sprinkle with chocolate covered almonds and a square of dark chocolate on the side.
2.
Chop avocado and mango. Mix together and add lemon juice.
Mound the mix in center of plate.
Cut smoked salmon into bite size strips.
Decorate the avocado and mango with the salmon. Either cover the mound with the salmon or encircle it.
Sprinkle with an herb like sage.
Garnish with a sprig of some herb.
3.
Mix the following in a bowl until smooth.
60% Cream cheese, 25% sour cream, 15% yogurt. - you can experiment with the numbers.
Add in dark chocolate chips or other light flavoring. You can use flavored yogurt.
You can eat plain on graham crackers or something similar but it is best used as a no sugar cake frosting.
4.
Buy pre-cooked beets - NOT in a can. Gold and red mixed together work best but gold is hard to find so just use what is available. If you can't find pre-cooked then boil fresh ones the day before.
Strain the the juice into glasses and drink.
Slice beets. You can sometimes buy pre-sliced.
Layer with goat cheese. Preferably flavored such as honey or herb.
Sprinkle with crushed pistachios and some colorful herb that will blend well such as mint, sage, fennel or paprika.
Garnish with a sprig of something.
5.
There are very few kitchen products I suggest buying. Buy a Yonana machine. It turns frozen fruit into delicious no sugar added soft serve ice cream.
---------- Post added at 12:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:19 PM ----------
6. Fill graham cracker pie crust with yonana ice cream top with cream cheese icing from #3 for delicious home made ice cream pie. One of the easiest, fastest and healthiest pies you can make.

Kale avocado fig wrap. Be sure the fig pit is removed.
Smoked Salmon, Avocado, Mango

Beets and goat cheese
Yonana
Yonana pie
Also buy one of these mix 50% with yonana ice cream pour into one of these

I've made it several times.
Once with canned beets. Horrible.
Once with salmon flavored cream cheese. Ok.
Twice with honey flavored goat cheese. Very tasty. It isn't the absolute best tasting thing ever but it is tasty, easy and fancy looking.

Re: Food Thread
I made bratwurst (from a Joy of Cooking cook book I have) and bought french rolls from the store. I eat them with yellow mustard and sometimes onion. I can't find a decent sauerkraut at the store. I forgot about this thread and didn't bother taking a picture though.
