Re: Explain your avatar
Thanks for elaborating now I remember some of that. It was cool how the guy gives you little hints and I remember being kinda stuck on some. Maybe that's why I didn't get to the end. That and my lack of skill at those top down shooters.

Re: Explain your avatar
The key was taking them at face value instead of turning your brain over a lot to try to figure them out. One in particular I found that stuck a lot of people was the one where he told you to "Shoot into the corridor". Most people would shoot at the entrance to the corridor like how to unlock the first corridor, but you actually had to shoot at the "Corridor #" monitor at the top of the screen until it opened up. Silly little things.

They don't make them like that anymore. Now anything like that is so easy you don't even have to look it up, usually.

Cool, I wanted to get that one for Gamecube.
What console do you play it on?

That anime was ultra cheesy, but Dante was still awesome in it.

Re: Explain your avatar
Lots of anime characters look similar.
I think it's because of the persistence of certain styles.
I'm always confusing other animes for Ouran High School Host Club.
Such a beautiful crime!

I found VF2 for PS2 for about eight bucks (pretty sure) a number of years back. I think it would make a good Xbox Live Arcade/PSN title.

A good portion of anime characters do look similar, they always have and always will.
I'm fine with the persistence of certain styles, but every now and then something new comes along, like Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, the style there was something I hadn't seen in anime, it would actually change style at different parts in each episode.
I like Ouran High School Host Club, great now I feel the need to re-watch it.

You get most of the story via the large monitors in rooms that "the last survivor" left messages on. The first one explains what's up with NAJU, how it was taken over by outside not-so-nice life forms and the usual inhabitants were killed off, then the station was sent on a collison course with earth by said aliens. last survivor dude sealed off the corridors where the self destruct mechanisms were located during the invasion I guess to stop the aliens from blowing up the ship, then realizing they were all dead anyway, left messages on how to unlock said corridors and blow up the station. (I'm assuming some parts of this story, but the basic idea is that corridors are sealed that lead to the self destruct messages, and the last survivor left these messages for you to unlock them)
I found it neat how the survivor guy left you clues all over on certain things. Like at one point he tells you that he sealed a corridor very well, and that you have to use a specific special weapon to open it. Another one he clearly states that he borked it bad and it's unable to be opened. but ask the blue lander for help with it (Which you go in, buy something from the lander, then keep reentering the room and eventually the lander tells you that he sees you are trying hard and will open it for you). Another one, he tells you to open the corridor you have to "Touch Everywhere" and other stuff. A lot of stuff is just.. where the hell did that come from tho (Like the last boss.. wtf?)

I always thought the Blue Landers were greedy bastards. They are on the thing and they're going to die if you don't help them, but they still charge you for everything.
You can't use your chips in hell!
I tried to master it on here but since you can't use passwords, I'm not sure I'll ever get it done. I tried one time but the Red GrimGrin did me in.

I changed it because I thought it was too creepy.
It exceeded the recommended daily dosage of creepiness.
< just like this smiley, it's supposed to be 'beauty', but reminds me of Rip Taylor, for some reason.

Re: Explain your avatar
Well...here we go...
For a long time, including time at EVG, I was ignorant about avatars. "What is the point?" I would say to myself.
At some point, I think it was Drunkninja mentioned my lack of an avatar as an issue for him. The way he saw it, he used avatar's to ID people on the site. Bagel with his blue bald guy. Ten with the cartoon smoking the cigar (or tomato depending what site you were on), Tails with whatever was the anime flavor of the week. My logic was that the "No avatar selected" should pretty much announce my arrival to the RU forums.
I had several auctions of "questionable" popularity (Gamenguru won auction almost by default, he is traditionally a high donor) in which I pimped out my avatar, I finally found something that was suiting. Any image with 5 cents would be obvious, but the inclusion of toilets to match all of the crap I talk. That is were my avatar comes from.
